AKSE Bersatu
Angkatan Kampong Setia Bersatu Football Club or simply AKSE Bersatu FC is a professional football club in Brunei, playing in the Brunei Super League. The club originates from the twin villages of Setia in Sungai Kebun, Kampong Ayer. History AKSE Bersatu was founded in 2012 from the merging of two Brunei-Muara district clubs, namely Persatuan AKSE (Setia Village Community Association) and Setia Bersatu. They were well-established clubs which presence was limited to district level competition. The newly formed team entered the 2012 Brunei FA Cup in the first round where they were eliminated by eventual winners MS ABDB. They have been members of the Brunei-Muara District League since 2015, reaching a third-place finish in 2018. After two cancelled district league campaigns, they became the winner of the 2022 edition by beating Ar Rawda in the final by 3 goals to nil, essentially winning promotion to the Brunei Super League. Rosanan Samak
Haji Mohammad Rosanan bin Abdullah Samak (born 18 July 1965) is a Bruneian people, Bruneian association football, football coach and former player, who played as a Forward (association football), striker most notably with the Brunei M-League Team, Brunei team that played in the M-League System, Malaysian league in the 1990s. He was a member of the team that won the 1999 Malaysia Cup, which is regarded as Football in Brunei, Brunei football's crowning achievement. Club and coaching career Rosanan started his career with the Bruneian team Kota Ranger FC, the team won the domestic championship in 1987 and participated in that year's Asian Champions' Cup (an early edition of the AFC Champions League). Kota Ranger also won the BAFA-Standard Chartered Football League in 1992 and Rosanan was the top scorer. Brunei Super League
The Brunei Super League (''Liga Super Brunei'' in Malay) is a Bruneian professional league for association football. It is at the top flight of the Bruneian football league system and it is managed by the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD). The clubs participating in this top flight league need to pass a set of requirements and verification process, particularly related to professionalism and infrastructure feasibility. The championship winner will receive B$14,000 ($10,000 USD) as prize money, as well as being eligible for the AFC Cup as Brunei's representative, provided that the club conforms to AFC's Club Licence criteria. 2023 Brunei Super League
The 2023 Brunei Super League is the ninth season of the Brunei Super League, the top league in Brunei for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2012. The league began on 3 March and will conclude in February 2024, with 16 teams playing home and away. On 15 September 2023, the league was announced to have a premature conclusion due to insufficient funds as announced by FABD in a press release. Mukim Sungai Kebun is a mukim in Brunei-Muara District, Brunei. It is part of Kampong Ayer, the traditional stilt settlements on the Brunei River in the capital Bandar Seri Begawan. Kampong Ayer is a prominent traditional settlement in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. The Brunei FA Cup is Brunei's premier knockout tournament in men's football. The current format is administered by the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) since 2012.
