AEW Grand Slam (2023)
The 2023 Grand Slam was the third annual Grand Slam professional wrestling television special produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It took place on September 20, 2023, at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in the Queens borough of New York City. The two-part event was broadcast as special episodes of AEW's weekly television programs, '' Wednesday Night Dynamite'' and '' Friday Night Rampage''. ''Dynamite'' aired live on TBS while ''Rampage'' aired on tape delay on September 22 on TNT and was expanded to two hours for the Grand Slam special. A total of 12 matches were held across the two episodes, with five broadcast live on ''Dynamite'' and seven taped for ''Rampage''. In the main event of the ''Dynamite'' broadcast, MJF defeated Samoa Joe to retain the AEW World Championship. All Elite Wrestling
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Jacksonville, Florida. It is considered the second largest wrestling promotion in the United States behind WWE. AEW is owned by Shahid Khan and his son Tony, who founded the company in 2019; in-ring performers Matt & Nick Jackson and Kenny Omega also serve as company executives. Broadcast Delay
In radio and television, broadcast delay is an intentional delay when broadcasting live material, technically referred to as a deferred live. Such a delay may be to prevent mistakes or unacceptable content from being broadcast. The ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship is a professional wrestling championship owned by the Ring of Honor (ROH) promotion. Like most professional wrestling championships, the title is won as a result of a match with a predetermined outcome. Bruce Orlando Leaupepe (born January 30, 1991) is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he performs under the ring name Toa Liona. Bishop Kaun is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to Ring of Honor (ROH), where he wrestles under the ring name Kaun and is a member of The Embassy stable. Stephen Blake Woltz (born July 27, 1991), better known by his ring name "Hangman" Adam Page, is an American professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he is a former AEW World Champion and AEW World Tag Team Champion. The Elite is a professional wrestling stable currently appearing in U.S. based Professional wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW). As of December 2022, the line-up has consisted of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), who previously formed the original 2016-2018 line-up.
