AEW Grand Slam (2023)
The 2023 Grand Slam was the third annual Grand Slam professional wrestling television special produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It took place on September 20, 2023, at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in the Queens borough of New York City. The two-part event was broadcast as special episodes of AEW's weekly television programs, '' Wednesday Night Dynamite'' and '' Friday Night Rampage''. ''Dynamite'' aired live on TBS while ''Rampage'' aired on tape delay on September 22 on TNT and was expanded to two hours for the Grand Slam special. A total of 12 matches were held across the two episodes, with five broadcast live on ''Dynamite'' and seven taped for ''Rampage''. In the main event of the ''Dynamite'' broadcast, MJF defeated Samoa Joe to retain the AEW World Championship. All Elite Wrestling
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Jacksonville, Florida. It is considered the second largest wrestling promotion in the United States behind WWE. AEW is owned by Shahid Khan and his son Tony, who founded the company in 2019; in-ring performers Matt & Nick Jackson and Kenny Omega also serve as company executives. Its headquarters are located at TIAA Bank Field, the home stadium of the National Football League's Jacksonville Jaguars, a team also owned by Shahid Khan. ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship
The ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship is a professional wrestling championship owned by the Ring of Honor (ROH) promotion. Like most professional wrestling championships, the title is won as a result of a match with a predetermined outcome. The Embassy (Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) are the current champions in their first reign as a team (Kaun's second individually). Bruce Orlando Leaupepe (born January 30, 1991) is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he performs under the ring name Toa Liona. He also wrestles for AEW's sister promotion, Ring of Honor (ROH), where as a part of The Embassy, he is one-third of the current ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions. Bishop Kaun is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to Ring of Honor (ROH), where he wrestles under the ring name Kaun and is a member of The Embassy stable. He is currently one-third of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions with his Embassy stablemates, Brian Cage and Toa Liona. He has also wrestled for ROH's parent company All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Mogul Embassy or simply the Embassy is a villainous professional wrestling stable appearing in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and its sister promotion Ring of Honor (ROH), led by Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana. Stephen Blake Woltz (born July 27, 1991), better known by his ring name "Hangman" Adam Page, is an American professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he is a former AEW World Champion and AEW World Tag Team Champion. Woltz began his career in 2008, working on the independent circuit as Adam Page. In 2011, he began to appear in Ring of Honor (ROH), where he stayed for seven years. The Elite is a professional wrestling stable currently appearing in U.S. based Professional wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW). As of December 2022, the line-up has consisted of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), who previously formed the original 2016-2018 line-up. The Elite was originally formed in January 2016 as a trio acting as a sub-group within Bullet Club, a larger stable of which Omega was the leader.
