ABC Fighters
Abidjan Basket Club Fighters, commonly known as ABC Fighters, is an Ivorian basketball club based in the city of Abidjan. Founded in 1997, the team is the most successful men teams in the country, with 19 national championships won, and one continental FIBA Africa Champions Cup in 2005. The home arena of the team is the Palais des Sports de Treichville. History The ABC club was established in 1997 by members of the basketball section of the Africa Sports d'Abidjan football club. In 2002, the team played in the FIBA Africa Club Champions Cup for the first time. In 2004, the first-ever Ivorian Basketball Championship was won. In 2005, ABC won the FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup and was crowned African champions for the first time. In the final, ABC beat Angolan club Interclube 67–66. The Ivorian Basketball Championship is the premier basketball league for clubs in Ivory Coast. The league consist out of ten teams. The most notable team in the league's history is ABC Fighters, who won 21 titles. Abraham Sie
Louis Cyrille Jean Benoît She (31 August 1999 – 6 April 2022), better known as Abraham Sie, was an Ivorian basketball player. During his career he played for the Ivory Coast national basketball team. Club career Sie was a former football player and taekwondo fighter, he was the Ivorian taekwondo champion twice before he started playing basketball. He played for the Ivorian side Abidjan Basket Club, he participated in the Basketball Africa League qualifiers where he averaged 14.33 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists. In October 2021, Sie signed with DUC Dakar, the champions of Senegal. Ivorian national team Sie represented the Ivory Coast national basketball team. He was included in the Ivorian team roster for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup, but he did not play a match based on the decision of the coach.
