The A5036 is a road in Merseyside, England, which comprises two sections separated by a gap of around . Route The northern section (shown right) is a section of trunk road. Starting at the Switch Island junction in Netherton, it heads south-west almost in a straight line towards the docks at Seaforth. For the first 4 junctions (up to the A5038 Netherton Way junction) it is known as Dunnings Bridge Road. The section between the A5038 and the large roundabout at Litherland is called Church Road, and the section between the roundabout and the docks (shown right), which was built later, is called Princess Way. Liverpool Lime Street Railway Station
Liverpool Lime Street is a terminus railway station and the main station serving the city centre of Liverpool. Opened in August 1836, it is the oldest still-operating grand terminus mainline station in the world. A branch of the West Coast Main Line from London Euston terminates at the station, as does the original Liverpool and Manchester Railway. Journeys from Lime Street cover a wide range of destinations across England, Scotland and Wales. Having realised that their existing Crown Street railway station was too far away from the city centre, the Liverpool and Manchester Railway commenced construction of the more central Lime Street station in October 1833. Lime Street, Liverpool
Lime Street in Liverpool, England, was created as a street in 1790. Its most famous feature is Lime Street railway station. It is part of the William Brown Street conservation area. History The street was named for lime kilns owned by William Harvey, a local businessman. When the street was laid out in 1790 it was outside the city limits, but by 1804 the lime kilns were causing problems at a nearby infirmary. The doctors complained about the smell, and so the kilns were moved away, but the street name remained unchanged. With the arrival of the railway line in 1836, the street moved from a marginal to a central location in the city, a position that confirmed by the creation of St George's Hall, on the side of the street opposite the railway station, in 1854. Netherton is an area of the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, in Merseyside, England. Description Situated in the southern part of the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, north east of the centre of Bootle, Netherton is also north of Litherland and to the west of Aintree.
