A. F. M. Abdul Moyeen
A. F. M. Abdul Moyeen (born in 1964) is a Bangladeshi educationalist. He is a professor in the Department of Management at the University of Dhaka and a former Vice-Chancellor of Comilla University during 2022–2024. Early life and education Moyeen was born in 1964 in Kotalipara, Gopalganj. Moyeen passed his secondary from Barisal Zilla School and higher secondary from Brojomohun College, Barishal. He received his B. Com (Bachelor) degree in 1984 and M. Com degree in 1985 from the Department of Management of Dhaka University. He holds a PhD in strategic management from the University of Stirling in Scotland, and completed post-doctoral research at the Australian National University. Career Moyeen has taught at Dhaka University and Federation University Australia. He also has experience of working with various international organizations. The Comilla University ( bn, কুমিল্লা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a public university located at Kotbari, Comilla, Bangladesh. Barisal ( or ; bn, বরিশাল, ), officially known as Barishal, is a major city that lies on the banks of the Kirtankhola river in south-central Bangladesh. Non-cooperation Movement (2024)
The non-cooperation movement was a protest against the government of Bangladesh, initiated within the framework of the 2024 Bangladesh quota reform movement. The sole demand of this movement was the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her cabinet. Although initially limited to the goal of reforming quotas in government jobs, the movement snowballed into a mass anti-government uprising after the deaths of several protesters. The movement was also fueled by ongoing socio-economic and political issues, including the government's mismanagement of the national economy, rampant corruption by government officials, human rights violations, allegations of undermining the country's sovereignty by Sheikh Hasina, and increasing authoritarianism and democratic backsliding. Govt. Brojomohun College, Barisal (also BM College) is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Bangladesh. It is located in the city of Barisal in south-western Bangladesh. History On June 14, 1889, Aswini Kumar Dutta founded Brojo Mohan College, which was named after his father, Brajamohan Dutta. The first principal of the college was Babu Gyan Chandra Chowdhury.
