A.S. Ramat HaSharon ( he, א.ס. רמת השרון) is a professional basketball club based in Ramat HaSharon, Israel. The club are currently members of the Israeli National League. History The club first participated in the Super League in the 1989–90 season, remaining in the top division until 1992. The club had a second spell in the Super League between 2002 and 2006. Their best season was in 2003–04 when they finished eighth and qualified for the play-offs, losing 3–0 to Maccabi Tel Aviv. Following relegation at the end of the 2005–06 season the club folded and reformed in the bottom division. Liga Leumit ( he, ליגה לאומית, lit. ''National League'') is the second tier level league of basketball competition in Israel. It is the league level that is below the first tier Israeli Basketball Premier League, Israeli Premier League. League system The league contains 15 clubs that compete in a home-and-away Round-robin tournament, round-robin. At the end of the season, the top eight clubs advance to the play-offs. The first round is played on a best-of-three basis. The four winning clubs advance to two best-of-five playoffs, the winners of which are promoted to the Super League. Ramat HaSharon ( he, רָמַת הַשָּׁרוֹן, ''lit.'' Ariel Rosenberg (ארי רוזנברג; born May 8, 1964) is an Israeli former basketball player. He played the guard position. He played in the Israeli Premier Basketball League and on the Israel national basketball team, and won a silver medal at the 1985 Maccabiah Games. He is now an attorney. Biography Rosenberg was born in Montreal, Canada. He received a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Tel Aviv University. He is 1.90 m tall.
