Lisang Pacidal Koyouan (), better known by her stage name A-Lin, is a Taiwanese aboriginal singer and songwriter of Amis descent. Career In 1999, when A-Lin was 16 years old and taught children to sing the hymn "Amazing Grace" after the 921 earthquake in Nantou County, she was discovered by her former agent. Shin (; born Su Chien-hsin on 14 May 1971) is a Taiwanese singer, songwriter and actor. He is known as the former lead singer of the rock band Shin and a Golden Melody Awards nominee for Best Mandarin Male Singer. Shin had been singing in pubs for around ten years before becoming a singer. He formed a band with Chris, Michael, Max and Tomi during his pub singing days. Lingya District () is a district of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The 85 Sky Tower and the Kaohsiung City Hall are located here. The Amis ( ami, Amis, Ami, Pangcah; ), also known as the Pangcah, are an indigenous Austronesian ethnic group native to Taiwan. Puyuma People
The Puyuma (), also known as the Pinuyumayan, Peinan or Beinan, are one of the indigenous groups of the Taiwanese aborigines. The people are generally divided into the Chihpen and Nanwang groups, both resident in Taitung County on the east coast of Taiwan. In the year 2000, the Puyuma numbered 9,606. This was approximately 2.4% of Taiwan's total indigenous population, making them the sixth-largest indigenous group. The Puyuma speak the Puyuma language, as well as Mandarin and Taiwanese Hokkien.
