A-Leagues All Stars Game
The A-Leagues All Star Game is a association football match contested by the A-Leagues All Stars team against an invitee club. The All Stars team is made up of selected A-League Men players. The game is played during the footballing off-season, the first of which was held on 20 July 2013. After the 2014 edition, the All Star Game was not held for almost a decade, before the concept was revived in 2022 and is expected to continue for at least the 2023, 2024 and 2025 A-League seasons as part of the commercial agreement with the NSW State Government to play a "Football Festival" culminating with the A-League Grand final in Sydney for those three seasons. The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in some countries/territories in Asia and Oceania. Reno Piscopo (born 27 May 1998) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Newcastle Jets in the Australian A-League. Early life Piscopo was born in Melbourne, Australia to an Italian father and Maltese mother. 2022 A-Leagues All Stars Game
The 2022 A-Leagues All Stars Game was the third edition of the A-Leagues All Stars Game, and the first since the 2014 Game. It was held at Accor Stadium in Sydney on 25 May 2022 against Spanish club Barcelona. Barcelona won the game 3–2. The game was televised in Australia on Network 10. Pre-match Having not played an All Stars game since the 2014 edition against Juventus, on 6 April 2022, the A-Leagues announced the return of the concept for the match against Barcelona. It is the first time Barcelona has visited Australia. The game was in the same week as the 2022 A-League Men Grand Final. Players participating in the Grand Final did not play in the All Stars Game. Simone Pepe (; born 30 August 1983) is an Italian former footballer who played as a winger, on either side of the pitch. Marcelo Adrián Carrusca (; born 1 September 1983), is an Argentine-Australian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder.
