''9'' is the ninth studio album by American rock band Saves the Day. It was released on October 26, 2018 through Equal Vision Records. Release On August 14, 2018, ''9'' was announced for release in October. In addition, "Rendezvous" was made available for streaming, and the album's track listing was revealed. On September 26, "Kerouac & Cassady" was made available for streaming. On October 16, a music video was released for "Side by Side", directed by Robyn August. ''9'' was released on October 26 through Equal Vision Records. The following month, the group embarked on a US headlining tour with support from Kevin Devine and An Horse. In February and March 2019, they went on another headlining US tour, with support from Remo Drive and Mighty. Saves The Day
Saves the Day is an American Rock music, rock band from Princeton, New Jersey, formed in 1997. The band currently consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Chris Conley, guitarist Arun Bali, and bassist Rodrigo Palma. After forming under the name Sefler in 1994, Saves the Day released their debut studio album, ''Can't Slow Down (Saves the Day album), Can't Slow Down'', in 1998. It was followed by ''Through Being Cool'' (1999), which featured their first single, "Shoulder to the Wheel". ''Stay What You Are'' was released in 2001, peaking at No. 100 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200. It spawned two successful music videos on MTV2, for the singles "At Your Funeral" and "Freakish", and has since sold 300,000 copies. "At Your Funeral" charted at No. 79 in the UK, No. 71 in Scotland and No. 16 on the UK Indie chart. Equal Vision Records
Equal Vision Records is an independent record label based in Albany, New York. It was founded in the early 1990s by Ray Cappo, singer for the punk bands Youth of Today, Shelter, and Better Than a Thousand. The label originally existed solely to distribute Shelter and other Krishna releases. In 1992, label manager Steve Reddy bought Equal Vision from Cappo. The focus was expanded and a wider variety of bands were brought on board. According to ''Punk News'', the mid-to-late '90s saw a redoubling of the Equal Vision's hardcore efforts with such signings as One King Down and Ten Yard Fight. By the end of the '90s Equal Vision Records (EVR) had a stable of hardcore and punk bands, having added Bane, Trial, Converge and Saves the Day to its roster in the latter part of the decade. ''Saves the Day'' is the eighth studio album released by Rock music, rock band Saves the Day. It was released September 17, 2013 on Rory Records, an imprint of Equal Vision Records, created by Say Anything (band), Say Anything frontman Max Bemis. The album was well received from music critics, praising the energy, diversity, and change in tone, although opinion was more divided than previous releases from fans. This is the band's first album for Equal Vision Records since 1999's ''Through Being Cool''. Background and production In a December 2011 interview, Chris Conley revealed that an eighth Saves the Day album was in the works and he was hoping that the band would return to the studio in the fall of 2012 to record it. Kevin Devine (born December 19, 1979) is an American songwriter and musician from Staten Island, New York City, who is known for his introspective and political themes.
