9th British Academy Video Games Awards
The 9th British Academy Video Game Awards awarded by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, is an award ceremony that was held on 5 March 2013 in the London Hilton on Park Lane. The ceremony honoured achievement in video gaming in 2012 and was hosted by Dara Ó Briain. London Hilton On Park Lane
The London Hilton on Park Lane is a hotel situated on Park Lane, overlooking Hyde Park in the exclusive Mayfair district of London. It is tall, has 28 storeys and 453 rooms including 56 suites and a Michelin starred restaurant Galvin at Windows on the top floor of the hotel. History The hotel opened as the London Hilton on 17 April 1963. It is a concrete-framed building, designed by William B. Tabler, an American architect who designed numerous Hilton hotels. The building was the first skyscraper hotel to be built in London, containing more than 500 bedrooms and six restaurants. On 24 August 1967, the Beatles met Maharishi Mahesh Yogi at the Hilton and subsequently went to Uttar Pradesh with him in order to meditate. Tarsier Studios is a Swedish video game developer based in Malmö. History Nine developers, including Andreas Johnsson and Björn Sunesson, founded Tarsier Studios in 2004. Johnsson had been a traditional programmer in the 1990s but wished to get into video game programming. Double Eleven Limited is a British video game developer and video game publisher based in Middlesbrough. It was founded by former Rockstar Games developers, Lee Hutchinson and Matt Shepcar, in June 2009.
