9 Lives (Pandora Album)
''9 Lives'' is the ninth studio album by Swedish singer Pandora, released in Japan in September 2003, in Scandinavia in June 2005 and Internationally in September 2006. The album peaked at number 16 on the Swedish Charts, becoming Pandora's third top twenty album, and first since '' Tell the World'' in 1995. The album includes Pandora's two Melodifestivalen songs, "You" in 2003 and "Runaway" in 2004, with neither progressing past the semi-finals. On the album sleeve, Pandora writes; "9 albums in 10 years, I feel so fortunate. This is music that has been in my head for quite sometime waiting... growing... Pandora (singer)
Anneli Magnusson (born 20 June 1970 in Västerås), known by her stage names Pandora and United DJs vs. Pandora, is a Swedish Eurodance singer. She was most popular during the mid-1990s in the Nordic countries and in Asia and Australia in the end of 1990s to mid-2000s. Musical career Magnusson grew up with her family outside of Västerås. She learned to play the guitar at an early age. In her teenage years, Magnusson started performing on stage, playing acoustic versions of songs and she could also be seen with different bands, mostly singing rock covers. She was accepted into the musical college Carlforsska, and it was here where she met Henrik Andersson, Martin Ankelius and Peka P. known as Hit Vision. ''Tell the World'' is the second studio album by Swedish singer Pandora, released in Sweden in February 1995 by Virgin Records. The album peaked at number 11 in Sweden. The Japanese edition featured "One of Us", originally by ABBA. By September 1996, the album had sold over 455,000 copies in Japan alone. Melodifestivalen 2004 was the selection for the 44th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 43rd time that this system of picking a song had been used. Five heats had taken place to select the ten songs for the final, in Karlstad, Gothenburg, Umeå, Malmö and a Second Chance round in Stockholm. The final was broadcast on SVT1 and Sveriges Radio's P4 network. The winner was Lena Philipsson with "Det gör ont" who later that year came in 5th place in Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Turkey with the English-language version '' It Hurts''.
