51st Oklahoma Legislature
The Fifty-first Oklahoma Legislature was a meeting of the legislative branch of the government of Oklahoma, composed of the Senate and the House of Representatives. State legislators met at the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City from January 2, 2007 to January 3, 2009, during the first two years of the second term of Governor Brad Henry. Lieutenant Governor Of Oklahoma
The lieutenant governor of Oklahoma is the second-highest executive official of the state government of Oklahoma. As first in the gubernatorial line of succession, the lieutenant governor becomes the new governor of Oklahoma upon the death, resignation, or removal of the governor. Charles Wyrick
Charles A. Wyrick is an American politician from the U.S. state of Oklahoma. He served in the Oklahoma Senate, representing District 1, which includes Craig, Delaware and Ottawa counties. He served as Democratic whip. He was re-elected in 2008 and 2012. He was forced to retire in 2016 due to term limits set forth in the Oklahoma Constitution. Wyrick started his family dairy in 1980 and is currently raising dairy cows. In 1990, he started a heavy equipment contracting business specializing in soil conservation work. Susan Paddack
Susan Paddack (born in Baytown, Texas) is a Democratic politician and former educator in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. She served in the Oklahoma State Senate representing District 13, which includes Pontotoc and Hughes counties and parts of Garvin and Coal counties, since 2004. As of 2013, she served as Minority Whip and Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee. Jay Paul Gumm (born November 29, 1963) is an American economic development professional from Bryan County, Oklahoma who served eight years as a member of the Oklahoma State Senate. Duncan, Oklahoma
Duncan is a city and county seat of Stephens County, Oklahoma, United States. Its population was 22,310 at the 2020 census. Its main claim to fame is as the birthplace of the Halliburton Corporation. Erle P. Halliburton established the New Method Oil Well Cementing Company in 1919. Halliburton maintains seven different complexes in Duncan plus an employee recreational park, but the corporate offices relocated first to Dallas and later to Houston.
