5Select
5Select (stylised as 5SELECT) is a British free-to-air television channel which features documentaries, arts, dramas, comedies and Channel 5 original content. It is owned by Paramount Global and operated by Paramount Networks UK & Australia. History Channel 5 were set to launch a new channel called ''5Prime''. It was going to be a catch-up channel, launching in January 2018, but it was never officially launched. A month later, 5Prime was rebranded as 5Select and it launched at 9:00am on 13 February 2018, with the first programme, ''Access'', being shown. On the 1st of July 2021, 5Select moved from the SDN (COM4) MUX to the BBC B HD Mux on Freeview. As a result, viewers with older Freeview equipment lost the channel while viewers with DVB-T2 compatible Freeview TVs or Freeview+HD boxes feature could receive the channel. ''The Dog Rescuers'', (sometimes known as ''The Dog Rescuers with Alan Davies'') is a British television programme that followed the work of animal charity RSPCA, specifically their work rescuing dogs. 5Star (stylized as 5STAR) is a British free-to-air television channel owned by Paramount Networks UK & Australia and a sister channel of Channel 5. It originally launched as the female-orientated Five Life on 15 October 2006, and was relaunched as Fiver on 28 April 2008 with a revised version of the same concept. The channel later re-branded as 5star on 7 March 2011, and later to its current name on 11 February 2016. 5USA is a British free-to-air television channel. It is owned by Paramount Networks UK & Australia and is a sister channel of Channel 5, 5Action, 5Star and 5Select. It was launched on 16 October 2006 as Five US and was the second digital terrestrial television channel in the UK to be launched by RTL Group (the owner at the time) as part of their multi-channel strategy, the first being Five Life (now 5Star). 5USA concentrates on showing imported movies and programmes from the United States. 5Action (stylised as 5ACTION, formerly known as Paramount Network) is a British free-to-air television channel operated by Channel 5 Broadcasting. 5Action features a range of programming from the Channel 5 stable as well as other content from the UK and US, focusing on action, crime and wrestling. ''Striking Out'' is an Irish television legal drama series, broadcast on RTÉ, that first aired on 1 January 2017. Produced by Bl!nder F!lms for RTÉ Television, ''Striking Out'' stars Amy Huberman as Dublin-based solicitor Tara Rafferty, who is currently working for a fledgling legal firm.
