is a series of yonkoma manga parody anthologies written and illustrated by various artists and published by Futabasha, based on various video game series such as ''Mario'' and ''The Legend of Zelda''. Changes of series Early Days (1991–93) *Futabasha began by publishing the Famicom Adventure Game Book series. *4 Koma Manga Kingdom was an effort by a rotating amateur team of artists and writers. Some of the most notable artists were Noboru Matsuyama, Satomi Nakamura, Ryo Sasaki, and Morita Yasuhiro. The series started gaining popularity around 1993. Yonkoma
, a comic strip format, generally consists of gag comic strips within four panels of equal size ordered from top to bottom. They also sometimes run right-to-left horizontally or use a hybrid 2×2 style, depending on the layout requirements of the publication in which they appear. Although the word ''yonkoma'' comes from Japanese, the style also exists outside Japan in other Asian countries as well as in the English-speaking market, particularly in mid-20th century United States strips, where ''Peanuts'' popularized the format. Origin Rakuten Kitazawa (who wrote under the name Yasuji Kitazawa) produced the first ''yonkoma'' in 1902. , also known by the abbreviated name ''Momoden'', is a role-playing video game series in Japan featuring the character from Japanese folklore, as well as other Japanese folklore characters such as Kintarō, Urashima Tarō, and Princess Kaguya (from ''The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter''). is a 1995 tactical role-playing game developed and published by Quest Corporation for the Super Famicom. It was later ported to the Sega Saturn (1996) and the PlayStation (1997), the latter released in North America in 1998 by Atlus USA. The second entry in the ''Ogre Battle'' series, the story takes place in the war-torn kingdom of Valeria, where protagonist Denim Powell works in a local resistance force against occupying powers, ending up caught in the ethnic conflicts driving the war. is a Japanese Media mix, media franchise centered on a series of fighting game, fighting video and arcade games developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment (formerly Namco). The franchise also includes film and print adaptations. ''Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island'' is a 1995 platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The player controls Yoshi, a friendly dinosaur, on a quest to reunite baby Mario with his brother Luigi, who has been kidnapped by Kamek. As a ''Super Mario'' series platformer, Yoshi runs and jumps to reach the end of the level while solving puzzles and collecting items with Mario's help. Battle Arena Toshinden
is a weapons-based fighting game developed by Tamsoft and published by Takara and Sony Computer Entertainment in 1995 for the PlayStation, followed by 1996 ports for the Sega Saturn, Game Boy and MS-DOS. It was one of the first fighting games to boast polygonal characters in a 3D environment, and features a sidestep maneuver which is credited for taking the genre into "true 3D." The Game Boy version of ''Battle Arena Toshiden'' despite sharing the same name as the console & PC counterparts is a different game.
