The 41st Félix Awards were held on October 27, 2019, to honour achievements in Quebec music. The gala ceremony was hosted by Louis-José Houde, and televised by Ici Radio-Canada Télé. Louis-José Houde (born October 19, 1977 in Saint-Apollinaire, Quebec) is a French-Canadian actor and comedian. Bleu Jeans Bleu
Bleu Jeans Bleu are a Canadian pop music group from Quebec. They are most noted for winning the Prix Félix for Group of the Year at the 41st Felix Awards in 2019. The group was formed in 2012 by Mathieu Lafontaine, separately from his solo work under the name Matt Track, as a side project recording and performing a comedic spin on country music; in the context of the band, all of its members perform under stage names derived from brands of denim jeans. Diane Dufresne
Diane Dufresne, (born 30 September 1944) is a French Canadian singer and painter, and is known for singing a large repertoire of popular Quebec songs. Dufresne was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She lived in Paris from 1965 to 1967 where she studied voice with Jean Lumière and dramatic art with Françoise Rosay. While there, she performed in noted ''boîte à chansons'' such as l'Écluse, l'Échelle de Jacob, and le Caveau de la Bolée. On her return to Montreal, she began a collaboration with composer , and lyricist Luc Plamondon. Cornelius Nyungura (born 24 March 1977), known by his stage name Corneille, is a Canadian R&B singer and songwriter. He was born in West Germany to Rwanda He, spent most of his childhood in Rwanda, and eventually emigrated to Quebec, Canada, in 1997. He sings in French and English. His work is greatly influenced by American funk and soul music; he is inspired by Prince, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. Sarahmée Ouellet (born 1988), mononymously known as Sarahmée, is a Senegalese-Canadian rapper from Quebec. She is most noted for her single "T'as pas cru", which was shortlisted for the 2019 SOCAN Songwriting Prize.
