47th National Film Awards
The 47th National Film Awards, presented by Directorate of Film Festivals, the organisation set up by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India to felicitate the best of Indian Cinema released in the year 1999. Ceremony took place on 18 September 2000 and awards were given by then President of India, K. R. Narayanan. Awards Awards were divided into feature films, non-feature films and books written on Indian cinema. Lifetime Achievement Award Feature films Feature films were awarded at All India as well as regional level. For 47th National Film Awards, a Malayalam film, ''Vanaprastham'' won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film; whereas a Hindi film, ''Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam'' won the maximum number of awards (4). The Directorate of Film Festivals in India was an organisation that initiated and presented the International Film Festival of India, the National Film Awards and the Indian Panorama. Although the Directorate helped appoint members of the jury panels each year, it had no input on which films are selected for consideration and which films ultimately win awards at the various functions it initiates. Haryanvi Language
Haryanvi ( ' or '), also known as Bangru, is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in the state of Haryana in India, and to a lesser extent in Delhi. Haryanvi is considered to be part of the dialect group of Western Hindi, which also includes Khariboli and Braj. It is written in the Devanagari script. ''Laado'' ('Lovely daughter') is a 2000 Indian Haryanvi-language romance film directed by Ashwini Chaudhary, starring Ashutosh Rana and Arundhati. The film's music was composed by Lalit Sen and released on 5 October 2000. Plot Urmi(Arundhati), a newly married young bride is left behind in the village with her in-laws, while her husband Arvind goes off to a job in the big city. Inder (Ashutosh Rana), her husband's cousin falls in love with her and proposes to her. Unable to deal with her husband's neglect and her in-laws nagging her for a child, Urmi escapes into a relationship with Inder. When the relationship comes out in the open, Urmi has to deal with not only the family's accusations but also her lover's cowardice. Sekhar Kammula
Sekhar Kammula (born 4 February 1972) is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer who works in Telugu cinema. He has garnered two Filmfare Awards South, and six state Nandi Awards for his directional works. Sekhar Kammula was among the director's delegation to represent South Indian Cinema at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. Ram Gopal Bajaj is an Indian theatre director, academician, and a Hindi film actor. He has also been a faculty member and a former Director of National School of Drama, New Delhi (1995 – September 2001). He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2003 and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1996 for his contribution to theatre. Biography Ram Gopal Bajaj graduated from the National School of Drama (NSD) in 1965.
