Louis-José Houde
Louis-José Houde (born October 19, 1977 in Saint-Apollinaire, Quebec) is a French-Canadian actor and comedian. He is best known for his performances in films such as ''Bon Cop, Bad Cop'' in 2006, '' Father and Guns (De père en flic)'' in 2009, '' A Sense of Humour (Le Sens de l'humour)'' in 2011 and '' Compulsive Liar (Menteur)'' in 2019. Les Cowboys Fringants
Les Cowboys Fringants are a Quebec folk rock music group formed in 1995 in Repentigny, Quebec. The French word ''fringant'' can be translated as "dashing", or "frisky". They perform '' Québécois'' néo-trad music (modernized Quebec folk music with a rock flavour) and draw on country music. They have an international underground following, especially in France, French-speaking Belgium and Switzerland. Band members hail from the Montreal suburbs of Repentigny and L'Assomption. The entire band collaborates on the lyrics, although guitarist Jean-François Pauzé often contributes more than the others. The band are known for their live performances, captured on the ''Attache ta tuque!'' live album and the ''Centre Bell 30 décembre 2003'' DVD. ''Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs'' is the third studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Klô Pelgag, released on June 26, 2020. The album received critical acclaim upon its release. Release ''Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs'' was initially set for release on April 17, 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release of the album was later pushed back to June 26, as announced via Pelgag's official website on April 10. Singles Prior to the official launch of the album, four singles were put out. "Rémora" serves as the lead single, which was released on February 6, 2020. She wrote the song after reading '' One Hundred Years of Solitude'' by Gabriel García Márquez, in which he mentioned the remora, a kind of fish that lives on other bigger fishes, using the disk on its head to attach to them. Sarahmée
Sarahmée Ouellet (born 1988), mononymously known as Sarahmée, is a Senegalese-Canadian rapper from Quebec. She is most noted for her single "T'as pas cru", which was shortlisted for the 2019 SOCAN Songwriting Prize. The sister of singer-songwriter Karim Ouellet, she released the EPs ''Retox'' in 2011 and ''Sans détour'' in 2013 before releasing her full-length debut album ''Légitime'' in 2015. She followed up with ''Irréversible'' in 2019, and received a Prix Félix nomination for Revelation of the Year at the Gala de l'ADISQ in 2019. Alicia Moffet (born July 22, 1998) is a Quebec singer who won the 2013 season of ''The Next Star''. She has released a number of singles and featured on the 2015 edition of the French-Canadian version of The Voice. Career Moffet has been singing since 2008. In May 2013, Moffet auditioned for ''The Next Star''. She got a golden ticket and was accepted into the top 13. She made top 9 in late June 2013. Marc Dupré (born July 28, 1973) is a Canadian singer, songwriter and musician from Quebec. Career His first album release was ''Refaire le monde'' in 2005. It included " Tout près du bonheur" with Céline Dion. The song was written by Dion and a music video was also released that was shot in Nevada. At the first Gala Artis, held in Montreal on April 30, 2006, Céline Dion also performed the song with Dupré. Dupré opened for Céline Dion in her "Taking Chances" tour in Montréal and the release of a second album ''Revenir à toi'' in 2008. His third album ''Entre deux toz'' also contained a duet with Dion in the track "Y'a pas de mots". His fourth album was released in 2013 titled ''Nous sommes les mêmes'' earning him the Félix for "Best male artist of the year"during the "35e Gala L'ADISQ" on October 27, 2013. Alex Burger (musician)
Alex Burger (born October 24, 1990) is a Canadian country singer-songwriter, based in Quebec. He released his first EP, ''À m’ment donné'', in 2018, followed by ''Sweet Montérégie'' in 2021. Career Burger comes from a family in which country music was omnipresent. Through his grandfather, he was learned about Willie Lamothe, a pioneer of Canadian and Quebecois country music. Burger was part of the nine member group Câltar-Bateau, which release two albums: ''Verbal boisson # 7'' in 2014 and ''La bavure des possessions'' in 2015. The latter album allowed the group to advance to the finals of the Francouvertes in 2016. The group went on hiatus in 2017. Burger also participated in the Bon Enfant project as a bassist, and was also bassist for Mon Doux Saigneur. He launched his solo career in 2018.
