The 3Ds
The 3Ds were a New Zealand noise pop band based from Dunedin, together from 1988 to 1997. They recorded three albums and several EPs, the best known of which is ''The Venus Trail'' (1993). They achieved commercial and critical success worldwide in the period between 1992 and 1995. History The band was formed in May 1988 by Dominic Stones, Denise Roughan and David Saunders. The band's name refers to the members' names all starting with "D". In 1989, they were joined by David Mitchell from Auckland bands Exploding Budgies and Goblin Mix, who introduced the twin-guitar attack which became the defining feature of the group. He also created all EP and album artwork apart from Fish Tales which featured a painting by Jane Davidson. Among their inspirations, in addition to the Pixies, they also consider Black Sabbath and Fairport Convention to be inspirations. Three-dimensional Chess
Three-dimensional chess (or 3‑D chess) is any chess variant that replaces the two-dimensional board with a three-dimensional array of cells between which the pieces can move. In practical play, this is usually achieved by boards representing different layers being laid out next to each other. Three-dimensional variants have existed since at least the late 19th century, one of the oldest being ''Raumschach'' (), invented in 1907 by Ferdinand Maack and considered the classic 3‑D game. Maack founded a Raumschach club in Hamburg in 1919, which remained active until World War II. Chapter 25 of David Pritchard's ''The Classified Encyclopedia of Chess Variants'' discusses some 50 such variations extending chess to three dimensions as well as a handful of higher-dimensional variants. Chapter 11 covers variants using multiple boards normally set side by side which can also be considered to add an extra dimension to chess. "Three-dimensional chess" is used collo ...

3D Test Of Antisemitism
The "three Ds" or the "3D test" of antisemitism is a set of criteria which was formulated by Israeli politician Natan Sharansky in order to distinguish legitimate criticism of Israel from antisemitism. The three Ds stand for delegitimization, demonization, and double standards, each of which, according to the test, indicates antisemitism. The test is intended to draw the line between legitimate criticism of the State of Israel, its actions and policies, and non-legitimate criticism which becomes antisemitic. The three Ds test is intended to rebut arguments which say that "any criticism toward the State of Israel is considered antisemitic, and therefore legitimate criticism is silenced and ignored". This test was adopted by the U.S. Department of State in 2010, and replaced by the Working Definition of Antisemitism in 2017. The test, however, has been criticized for vagueness and its use to define criticism of Israel as antisemitic. Author and history The concept was formulated ...

3D Aerobatics
3D Aerobatics or 3D flying is a form of flying using flying aircraft to perform specific aerial maneuvers. They are usually performed when the aircraft had been intentionally placed in a stalled position. Introduction In its most basic sense, 3D flight is controlled flight beyond the stalls critical angle of attack (AoA, or alpha) aka post-stall. Because the model is stalled and has little natural airflow across its flight surfaces, most 3D maneuvers require very large control deflections to vector the propeller thrust and change the models attitude. 3D aerobatic flying is a typically performed by model aircraft which have been configured with a higher thrust-to-weight ratio of more than 1:1. In fixed wing aeroplanes large control surfaces assist the aircraft on performing radical maneuvers which allow the aircraft to turn in tighter than conventional turns. This is achieved by having larger control surfaces; rudder, ailerons, and elevator and having greater amounts of throw ...

Next Position Please
''Next Position Please'' is the seventh studio album by American rock band Cheap Trick, produced by Todd Rundgren and released in 1983. The title track was originally demoed for the band's 1979 album ''Dream Police'', which had lead singer Robin Zander, lead guitarist Rick Nielsen, and bassist Tom Petersson each singing a verse. The song did not go beyond a demo, but it was referenced in "High Priest of Rhythmic Noise", a track from 1980's ''All Shook Up (Cheap Trick album), All Shook Up''. "Position" was eventually re-recorded for this album, and features only Zander singing. Background Produced by Todd Rundgren, ''Next Position Please'' marks a return to the more pop-oriented sound of 1977's ''In Color (album), In Color''. The LP spent 22 weeks on the Billboard 200 LP charts and peaked at number 61. The then-band members (Zander, Nielsen, Jon Brant, and Bun E. Carlos) consider it one of their best albums. "I Can't Take It" has become a concert staple over the years. Several of t ...

3-D (Wrathchild America Album)
''3-D'' is the second and final studio album by American heavy metal band Wrathchild America, released on January 28, 1991 by Atlantic Records. This was the band's last studio album before they changed their name to Souls at Zero in 1992. ''3-D'' was not successful as ''Climbin' the Walls'', failing to appear on any record chart, although music videos for "Spy" and "Surrounded by Idiots" were released. While retaining some of the thrash metal roots of its predecessor, ''3-D'' is notable for being the band's most diverse and technical album. It leans towards other genres such as progressive and funk metal, and in particular, the instrumental "Prego" is played in a jazz fusion style, while its follow-up track "Another Nameless Face" draws a reggae influence. Reception Although ''3-D'' failed to chart on the ''Billboard'' 200, the album received generally positive reviews. Alex Henderson from AllMusic gave the album a score of four-and-a-half stars out of five, and claims that ' ...
