36 Ghante
''36 Ghante'' is a 1974 Hindi film directed by Raj Tilak. It stars Raaj Kumar, Mala Sinha, Sunil Dutt, Vijay Arora, Parveen Babi, Ranjeet, Danny Denzongpa in pivotal roles. It is a remake of the 1955 American film '' The Desperate Hours'', which was adapted from Joseph Hayes' 1954 novel. Plot Three jailed convicts Himmat, his brother Ajit, and Dilawar Khan break out of prison and take over the household of Editor Ashok Rai. The escapees hold Ashok Rai, his wife Deepa Rai, son, Rajoo, and daughter Naina hostage. The convicts plan to continue to hold the family hostage until their associate, Kamini, contacts them in person. The police investigation into their escape is coordinated by Inspector R.D. Wadekar, who has no clue of to the whereabouts of the convicts. Raaj Kumar
Raaj Kumar (born Kulbhushan Pandit; 8 October 1926 3 July 1996) was an Indian actor who worked in Hindi films. He appeared in the Oscar-nominated 1957 film ''Mother India'' and starred in over 70 Hindi films in a career that spanned over four decades. Personal life Kulbhushan Pandit was born in Loralai, Baluchistan, British India (now Pakistan) in a Kashmiri Pandit family. Mukesh Chand Mathur (22 July 1923 – 27 August 1976), better known mononymously as Mukesh, was an Indian playback singer. Mukesh is considered to be one of the most popular and acclaimed playback singers of the Hindi film industry. Jankidas Mehra (1910 – 18 June 2003) was an Indian actor of Hindi cinema, cyclist, production designer, and writer. He made over 1000 film appearances between the 1930s and 1997. Biography Sports Jankidas served as the only Indian member of the International Olympic Committee at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin along with Hockey legend Major Dhyanchand and was the only Indian to have broken the world record in cycling between 1934 and 1942.
