319th Combat Training Squadron
The 319th Combat Training Squadron (319th CTS) is a United States Space Force unit responsible for offering advanced military space training. Assigned to Space Training and Readiness Command's Space Delta 1, it offers space warfighting follow-on courses for the four warfighting disciplines in the Space Force: orbital warfare, space electronic warfare, space battle management, and space access and sustainment. Space operators that recently graduated from the 533rd Training Squadron's undergraduate space training undergo a temporary duty assignment at the squadron to train them based on their specific warfighting discipline. Lowry Air Force Base (Lowry Field in 1938–1948) is a former United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) training base during World War II and a United States Air Force (USAF) training base during the Cold War, serving as the initial 1955–1958 site of the U.S. Air Force Academy. The Space Training and Readiness Delta (Provisional) (STAR Delta (P)) was a United States Space Force unit responsible for the training and education of space professionals, as well as the development of space warfighting doctrine. It was a component of Space Operations Command and was headquartered at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. STAR Delta (P) was activated on 24 July 2020 to serve as the precursor organization to the planned Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM). Announced on 30 June 2020 as one of three field commands of the U.S. Space Force, STARCOM was set to be activated in 2021. In the interim, the delta was activated to provide oversight of Space Force education, training, and operational test and evaluation units.
