The 30th Division(() was created in June 1949 under ''the Regulation of the Redesignations of All Organizations and Units of the Army'', issued by the Central Military Commission on November 1, 1948,《中央军委关于统一全军组织及部队番号的规定》, http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_7254c7350100xb56.html basing on Independent Division of Wanbei Military District. Its history could be traced to the Independent Brigade of Wanbei Military District formed in June 1948. The division was a part of PLA 10th Corps, under the flag of 30th Division it took part in the Chinese civil war. In April 1950 the division was detached and moved to Jinxi for coast defense missions. In April 1952 the division was disbanded and transferred to the Navy. The 30th Armored Division was a Tennessee-based unit of the Army National Guard from the 1950s to the 1970s. Activation and service In 1954 the 30th Infantry Division was reorganized, with units in North Carolina and South Carolina constituting the 30th Infantry Division, and units in Tennessee forming the nucleus of the new 30th Armored Division. The 30th Division is a Syrian Division of the Republican Guard established in 2017. History The 30th Division was established in January 2017, following the Syrian Government’s regain of Aleppo city. The Republican Guard created the new Division to incorporate all its units in Aleppo under a single nominal command, and to integrate the paramilitary militias in the city (already operating under the Republican Guard supervision) into the Republican Guard organization. The then-deputy commander of the Republican Guard and overall military commander of the 2016 Aleppo offensive, Major General Ziad Ali Salah, was appointed in charge of the 30th Division until November 2017 with Major General Zeid as his deputy. 30th Cavalry Division (Soviet Union)
The 30th Cavalry Division was a unit of the Soviet Red Army. The unit was disbanded in 1938 but reformed shortly after the June 1941 invasion of the USSR by Nazi Germany. It served on the Southern Front and helped push back Axis forces during the Battle of Rostov. In August 1943 the 30th Cavalry Division was commended by Joseph Stalin for their actions in the liberation of Taganrog and it later operated near Odessa. In the second half of 1944 the division was deployed in the Soviet centre, in modern-day Belarus. The unit received the honorifics "Baranovichi", "Slonim" and "Brest" but was almost destroyed at Nyíregyháza by a German counterattack during the Battle of Debrecen. After the war, the division was briefly converted into the 11th Mechanised Division, disbanded in 1947. The 30th Slovenia Division ( sr-Latn, Trideseta slovenačka divizija) was a Yugoslav Partisan division formed on 6 October 1943 in Western Slovenia. History The division was formed from the "Gorička", "Simon Gregorčič" and the First Soča Brigade. The first two brigades were later replaced by the Second and Third Soča Brigades. The Division became part of the 9th Corps on 22 December 1943, and was known as the 30th Goriska or Gorizia Division. The division operated mostly in Slovenia during its existence. The 30th Division (''30. Division'') was a unit of the Prussian/German Army. It was formed on April 1, 1887, as the 33rd Division and became the 30th Division on April 1, 1890, and was headquartered in Straßburg (now Strasbourg, France). The division was subordinated in peacetime to the XV Army Corps (''XV. Armeekorps''). The division was disbanded in 1919 during the demobilization of the German Army after World War I.
