Presidential elections are scheduled to be held in Moldova in autumn 2024. Maia Sandu
Maia Sandu (; born 24 May 1972) is a Moldovan politician who has been the President of Moldova since 24 December 2020. She is the former leader of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) and former Prime Minister of Moldova from 8 June 2019 until 14 November 2019. On 12 November 2019, Sandu's government collapsed after a vote of no-confidence, with 63 (deputies from PSRM and PDM) of the 101 MPs having voted on the motion submitted by the PSRM. Sandu was Minister of Education from 2012 to 2015 and member of the Parliament of Moldova from 2014 to 2015, and again in 2019. She was selected as the joint candidate of the pro-European PPDA and PAS parties for president of Moldova in the 2016 election. However, she was defeated in the subsequent runoff by the pro-Russian PSRM candidate, Igor Dodon, losing the popular vote by a margin of 48% to 52%. Andrei Năstase (born 6 August 1975) is a Moldovan politician serving as Government of Moldova, Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova, Minister of Internal Affairs from 8 June 2019 to 12 November 2019. Renato Usatîi
Renato Usatîi (born 4 November 1978) is a Moldovan politician and businessman serving as President of Our Party since 8 February 2015. He is the current mayor of Bălți after previously holding the office from July 2015 to February 2018. Usatîi's political positions have been described as populist and anti-establishment. He participated in the 2014 Moldovan parliamentary election as a candidate on the electoral list of the political party "Patria". The party was excluded from the race three days before the election, a decision declared arbitrary by the European Court of Human Rights. Usatîi intended to participate in the 2016 Moldovan presidential election but was unable to after a decision of the Constitutional Court of Moldova changed the minimum age required for someone to serve as president from 35 to 40. Marina Tauber (born 1 May 1986) is a Moldovan politician. Since 2019 she has been a Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. Biography Marina Tauber was born in 1986, in Chișinău, in a family of Jewish origin. She was a high school colleague with Ilan Shor. Vladimir Voronin (; born 25 May 1941) is a Soviet and Moldovan politician. He was the third president of Moldova from 2001 until 2009 and has been the First Secretary of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM) since 1994. Ilan Shor
Ilan Shor (or Șor; he, אילן שור; born 6 March 1987) is a Moldovan hideaway businessman, oligarch and politician. From July 2015 to April 2019, he served as mayor of the Moldovan city of Orhei. He owns several Moldovan businesses, including a company named ''Dufremol'' (Duty-free) and the FC Milsami football club. In 2014, he became the chairman of the board of the Savings Bank of Moldova.
