2024 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships
The 2024 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships will be held from January 30 to February 4, 2024 in Shanghai, China. Medals will be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Nations from non-European countries can send three entries at most for every discipline. Qualification Age and minimum TES requirements The competition will be open to skaters from all non-European member nations of the International Skating Union. The corresponding competition for European skaters will be the 2024 European Championships. Skaters will be eligible for the 2024 Four Continents Championships if they turned 16 years of age before July 1, 2023, and met the minimum technical elements score requirements. ISU Figure Skating Championships
The International Skating Union organizes six annual Championships for figure skating. It is at the discretion of each member country which skaters, pairs or synchronized skating teams are sent to which championship. No skater in men's single skating, women's single skating, pair skating and ice dancing can compete at all four competitions in one season, but some skaters have competed at all four over the course of their careers. Jason Chan (born 12 August 1996) is a Canadian-Australian ice dancer who currently represents Australia. With partner Holly Harris, he is the 2019 Australian national senior champion. With former partner Valérie Taillefer he was the 2014 Canadian novice dance champion. Career Early career In 2011, Chan trained in Montreal with Valérie Taillefer, competing at the pre-novice level in the Canadian national skating championships in Regina. At the novice level at the 2014 Canadian Championships, the pair won the gold medal.
