2022 In K-1
The year 2022 is the 30th year in the history of the K-1, an international kickboxing event. The year started with K-1 World GP 2022 Japan. List of events K-1 World GP 2022 Japan ''K-1 World GP 2022 Japan'' will be a kickboxing event held by K-1, which will be held on February 27, 2022, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. Background A K-1 Women's Flyweight Championship bout between reigning champion Kana Morimoto and title challenger Kotomi was expected to take place at the event. Kotomi later withdrew, and was replace by Ran, who faced Morimoto in a non-title bout. K-1 Lightweight Champion Taio Asahisa was scheduled to face Yuki Yoza in a non-title bout. Jomthong Chuwattana
Jomthong Chuwattana is a Thai Muay Thai kickboxer. He is the WBC Muaythai Featherweight Champion and 3 times Rajadamnern Stadium Champion. As of 24 July 2017, he is ranked the #5 lightweight in the world by LiverKick.com. Biography Jomthong Chuwattana (จอมทอง ชูวัฒนะ) was born as ''Thanakorn Pawachart'' (ธนากร พวาชาติ) in Maha Chana Chai District, Yasothon Province in Northeastern region of Thailand. He had his first fight at the age of 8. Jomthong is a young and talented fighter from the Chuwattana camp in Thailand. Making his name by defeating the famous Anuwat Kaewsamrit, Jomthong captured two of the most prestigious titles in Muaythai. Ștefan Lătescu ( ja, ステファン・ラテスク; born 25 December 2001) is a Romanian professional kickboxer and boxer, and former Muay Thai and kempo practitioner, currently signed to Dynamite Fighting Show and K-1. A former amateur in two sports, Lătescu notched over 150 wins in amateur kickboxing, and is the youngest senior heavyweight champion in the amateur boxing history of Romania. He is still undefeated nationally in boxing. As of 1 January 2023, Lătescu is ranked the #8 light-heavyweight kickboxer in the world by Beyond Kick. Professional kickboxing career DFS Lătescu made his professional debut against Eugen Mailat at DFS 7 on March 5, 2020. He won the fight by a first-round technical knockout. Satoshi Ishii
is a Japanese-born judoka, mixed martial artist, kickboxer and submission grappler who has held Croatian citizenship since 2019. Ishii won the gold medal in Olympic Judo at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics, a silver medal at the 2006 Asian Games and two All-Japan Judo Championships representing Japan. Ishii made his professional MMA debut at ''Dynamite!! 2009'' losing to fellow Judoka gold medalist Hidehiko Yoshida by unanimous decision, but currently holds a record of 24–12–1. Kyotaro Fujimoto
is a Japanese former professional boxer who competed from 2011 to 2019 and a kickboxer. He began competing again as a professional kickboxer in 2021. He is the former K-1 Heavyweight Champion and successfully defended the title against kickboxing legend Peter Aerts at K-1 World Grand Prix 2010 in Yokohama. Abiral Ghimire
Abiral Ghimire (Nepali:अबिरल घिमिरे, born 9 September 1999) also known as Abiral Himalayan Cheetah (アビラル・ヒマラヤンチーター) is a Nepalese kickboxer, currently fighting in the super-welterweight division of K-1. A professional competitor since 2017, he is the current HEAT Middleweight champion. Background Abhiral Ghimire is originally from Gurjudhara in the Chandragiri Municipality.
