List of events Glory 80 ''Glory 80'' was a kickboxing event held by Glory on March 19, 2022 at the Trixxo Arena in Hasselt, Belgium. Background A Glory Light Heavyweight Championship bout between reigning champion Artem Vakhitov and title challenger Luis Tavares was booked as the event headliner. Tavares withdrew from the bout a week before it was supposed to take place and was replaced by Tarik Khbabez, who faced Vakhitov in a catchweight bout. The bout was cancelled on March 12, as Vakhitov himself withdrew. A Glory Women's Super Bantamweight Championship between the champion Tiffany van Soest and title challenger Manazo Kobayashi was announced for the event. Sergej Maslobojev; born 22 May 1987), nicknamed 'Kuvalda' ('Sledgehammer'), is a Lithuanians, Lithuanian mixed martial artist, Boxer (boxing), boxer and kickboxer, currently signed with Glory (kickboxing), GLORY, where he is the former Glory (kickboxing)#Glory Light Heavyweight Championship, Glory Light Heavyweight champion. He is ranked as the third best light heavyweight in the world by Combat Press as of September 2022, and third best by Beyond Kick as of October 2022. Maslobojev is the former two time King of Kings (kickboxing), King of Kings Heavyweight champion. Guerric Billet (born 30 April 1996) is a French kickboxer, currently competing in the lightweight division of Glory. He is a former ISKA World welterweight champion. Billet has won two French Kickboxer of the Year awards (2022, 2023). Kickboxing career Billet made his Glory debut against Hafed Romdhane at Glory 60: Lyon on October 20, 2018. Sergej Braun (born July 17, 1989) is a German kickboxer and karateka, currently competing in the middleweight division of Glory. As of December 2022, Braun is ranked as the ninth best middleweight in the world by Beyond Kick and sixth best by Combat Press. He first entered both rankings in October 2022. Serkan Özçağlayan (born May 8, 1994) is a Turkish-Dutch kickboxer and cousin of Gokhan Saki, currently signed with Glory. He is ranked as the third best middleweight in the world by Combat Press as of September 2022, and third best by Beyond Kick as of October 2022. The ISKA (originally International Sport Karate Association, later also called the International Sport Kickboxing Association) is one of the major international bodies regulating sport karate and kickboxing matches, and is based in the United States. It was established in 1985 as a response to legal and revenue issues that sent the Professional Karate Association (PKA) into decline. History From 1974 until 1985, the PKA had been the most recognized worldwide kickboxing sanctioning group. It was instrumental in establishing public relay of the sport via ESPN, helping to introduce the burgeoning sport to a wider audience, and had also developed the first fighter's ratings systems. Sorin Mihai Căliniuc (born 12 July 1996) is a Romanian professional kickboxer and Olympic boxer, and former kempo practitioner. He currently competes in the Lightweight division for Glory. A professional competitor since 2018, Căliniuc formerly competed in the Colosseum Tournament, in which he was the reigning champion of the lightweight and super lightweight divisions. The Colosseum Tournament (COLOSSEUM) is a kickboxing, mixed martial arts (MMA) and boxing promotion company based in Romania, which is owned by Gabriel Georgescu. The Dynamite Fighting Show (DFS) is a Romanian kickboxing, Muay Thai, mixed martial arts (MMA), boxing, kyokushin and taekwondo promotion company based in Bucharest, Romania, which is owned by veteran heavyweight star Cătălin Moroșanu. It is the most popular combat sports and kickboxing promotion company in Romania. Former head of media and marketing for SUPERKOMBAT Alin Huiu has been managing director since its inception.
