The year 2022 is the eleventh year in the history of Glory, an international kickboxing promotion. The events are streamed on the Glory Fights Pay-per-view platform. List of events Glory 80 ''Glory 80'' was a kickboxing event held by Glory on March 19, 2022 at the Trixxo Arena in Hasselt, Belgium. Background A Glory Light Heavyweight Championship bout between reigning champion Artem Vakhitov and title challenger Luis Tavares was booked as the event headliner. Tavares withdrew from the bout a week before it was supposed to take place and was replaced by Tarik Khbabez, who faced Vakhitov in a catchweight bout. The bout was cancelled on March 12, as Vakhitov himself withdrew. A Glory Women's Super Bantamweight Championship between the champion Tiffany van Soest and title challenger Manazo Kobayashi was announced for the event. Glory 77: Rotterdam was available on Pay-per-view through Glory and official distribution partnerships with FITE TV, Spike Netherlands, Sport Extra and La Sueur,. Artyom Olegovich Vakhitov ( rus, Артё́м Оле́гович Вахитов; born April 4, 1991) is a Russian Muay Thai kickboxer who competes in the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. Having begun practicing Muay Thai at eleven years old, Vakhitov first came to prominence due to a successful amateur career by winning three world championships as well as taking gold in 2013 at the World Combat Games and silver in 2010. Tyjani Beztati (born October 21, 1997) is a Moroccan-Dutch kickboxer currently competing in the Lightweight division of Glory. He is the current Glory Lightweight Champion and is a former two-time Glory Lightweight title challenger. As of August 2021, he is the #8 lightweight kickboxer in the world according to Combat Press. Ertuğrul Bayrak (born June 17, 1992) is a Turkish-Dutch kickboxer, currently signed with Glory, where he is the #1 ranked middleweight. Jamal Ben Saddik (; born October 3, 1990) is a Belgian-Moroccan professional kickboxer. He is a former two-time Glory Heavyweight Championship challenger and 2018 Glory Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament winner. Combat Press ranked him as a top ten heavyweight between September 2015 and July 2021, peaking at No. 3. In Glory, Ben Saddik was involved in doping controversies and was removed from the official rankings by the promotion in 2023. Badr Hari (born 8 December 1984) is a Moroccan-Dutch kickboxer. He is a former K-1 Heavyweight World Champion (2007–2008), It's Showtime Heavyweight World Champion (2009–2010) and ''K-1 World Grand Prix 2008 and 2009'' finalist. It's Showtime (kickboxing)
"It's Showtime" is a defunct kickboxing and mixed martial arts promotion based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It was founded by Simon Rutz in 1998 and held its first show in 1999 and its last near the end of 2012. History It's Showtime events were cross-promoted with K-1 and other European promotions from Italy, Belgium and England. Extreme Fight Game RISE, known simply as RISE, is a Japanese kickboxing promotion company based in Tokyo, Japan. The name RISE is an abbreviation of "Real Impact Sports Entertainment".
