2022 In K-1
The year 2022 is the 30th year in the history of the K-1, an international kickboxing event. The year started with K-1 World GP 2022 Japan. List of events K-1 World GP 2022 Japan ''K-1 World GP 2022 Japan'' will be a kickboxing event held by K-1, which will be held on February 27, 2022, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. Background A K-1 Women's Flyweight Championship bout between reigning champion Kana Morimoto and title challenger Kotomi was expected to take place at the event. The year 2021 is the 28th year in the history of the K-1, an international kickboxing event. The year started with K-1: K’Festa 4. List of events K-1: K’Festa 4 ''K-1: K'Festa 4'' was a kickboxing event held by K-1. It was originally scheduled to be held on January 24, 2021, at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Yoyogi, Japan, but was later postponed as the Japanese prime minister Yoshihide Suga declared a state of emergency for Tokyo, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was rescheduled for two dates: March 21 and March 28, 2021, to be held at the Tokyo Garden Theater and Nippon Budokan, respectively. Masashi Kumura
is a Japanese kickboxer, currently competing in the super bantamweight division of K-1. He is the former Krush Super Bantamweight champion, having held the title between 2019 and 2021. Kumura is a two-time K-1 World Grand Prix finalist, having finished as the runner-up in the 2019 and 2022 super bantamweight tournaments. As of July 2022, he was the #1 ranked flyweight and #9 ranked pound-for-pound kickboxer in the world according to Combat Press. He's been ranked in the flyweight top ten since September 2020. He was previously ranked in the strawweight top ten by Combat Press from May 2019, until August 2020. K-Jee (born 5 November 1990) is a Japanese male kickboxer and the former K-1 Cruiserweight Champion and the former Krush Cruiserweight champion. Kickboxing career He took part in the 2017 Heavyweight Grand Prix, but lost to the eventual winner Antonio Plazibat in the quarterfinals. He bounced back with a TKO win over Shinya Uemura, during Krush 89. K-Jee participated in the 2018 K-1 Cruiserweight Grand Prix, for the inaugural K-1 Cruiserweight title. He beat Brian McGrath by TKO in the quarterfinals, but lost a unanimous decision to Sina Karimian in the semifinals. Abiral Ghimire
Abiral Ghimire (Nepali:अबिरल घिमिरे, born 9 September 1999) also known as Abiral Himalayan Cheetah (アビラル・ヒマラヤンチーター) is a Nepalese kickboxer, currently fighting in the super-welterweight division of K-1. Danilo Zanolini (29 July 1980) is a Brazilian kickboxer, competing in the welterweight divisions of RISE and Rizin FF. He is the former RISE Welterweight, HEAT Middleweight and ISKA Super Welterweight World K-1 champion. Shuhei Kumura (玖村 修平) is a Japanese kickboxer, fighting out of Tokyo, Japan. He is the current Krush Featherweight (-57.5kg) champion. As of June 2022, Combat Press ranks him as the fourth best super flyweight kickboxer in the world. is a Japanese kickboxer, signed with K-1. He is the 2016 K-1 Featherweight Grand Prix runner-up and the former Krush Featherweight champion. Kickboxing career Early career Ozawa made his professional debut in June 2014, at Krush 42, against Kento Ito. The fight ended in a draw. Kotaro Shimano (born 8 June 1992) is a Japanese kickboxer, fighting out of Futtsu, Japan. He is the former Krush Super Featherweight champion. As of 1 August 2020, he is ranked the #9 flyweight in the world by Combat Press. He first entered the rankings in May 2019.
