2023 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships
The 2023 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships had been held in Valencia, Spain at the Feria Valencia. The championships is a qualification event for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The 14 highest-ranked individuals from the all-around competition (qualification), with a maximum of two gymnasts per NOC, and the top 5 groups, not including teams that qualified at the previous year's World Championships, will obtain one quota place for their country. Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships
The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships are the world championships for the sport of rhythmic gymnastics. The tournament is promoted and organized by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). It is one of the three tournaments in rhythmic gymnastics officially organized by FIG, as well as the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup and the gymnastics competitions at the Olympic Games (in collaboration with the IOC and the federation of the country organising the Games). The first edition of the World Championships was held in 1963, a time when the sport was known as modern gymnastics. The current program of the World Championships contemplates both individual and group performances. In even non-Olympic years and the year before the Olympics, a team event is also contested. Margarita Kolosov
Margarita Kolosov (born 11 March 2004 in Potsdam, Germany) is a German rhythmic gymnast. Kolosov has been training at the federal base in Fellbach with Yuliya Raskina since 2016. Personal life Together with her sister, Margarita Kolosov started training rhythmic gymnastics at SC Potsdam in 2010, at the age of 6. Her main ambition is to compete at the Olympics, like her idol Margarita Mamun, in Paris 2024. In 2020, Margarita, together with numerous athletes, appeared in the music video by Tim Bendzko for the song "HOCH" (OLYMPIA TEAM D VERSION). Milena Baldassarri (born 16 October 2001 in Ravenna, Italy) is an Italian individual rhythmic gymnast. She won the silver medal at the World Championship at the 2018 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Individual all around.
