2023 Formula 2 Championship
The 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship is a planned motor racing championship for Formula 2 cars that is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship will be the fifty-seventh season of Formula 2 racing and the seventh season run under the FIA Formula 2 Championship moniker. It is an open-wheel racing category that serves as the second tier of formula racing in the FIA Global Pathway. The category will be run in support of selected rounds of the 2023 FIA Formula One World Championship. As the championship is a spec series, all teams and drivers that compete in the championship will run the same car, the Dallara F2 2018. 2023 is scheduled to be the final season using the Dallara F2 2018 chassis and Mecachrome V634T 3.4-litre V6 single-turbocharged engine package which débuted in the 2018 season. FIA Formula 2 Championship
The FIA Formula 2 Championship is a second-tier single-seater championship organised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). Held on racing circuits, the championship was introduced in 2017, following the rebranding of the long-term Formula One feeder series GP2. The series' original founders were Flavio Briatore and current managing director Bruno Michel. Designed to make racing relatively affordable for the teams and to make it an ideal training ground for life in Formula One, Formula 2 has made it mandatory for all of the teams to use the same chassis, engine and tyre supplier so that true driver ability is reflected. The Mecachrome V634 engine (also known as Mecachrome Formula 2 V6) is a 3.4-litre, turbocharged and naturally-aspirated, V6 racing engine, designed, developed and produced by Mecachrome, and is used in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, FIA Formula 3 Championship, and the World Endurance Championship. Arthur Leclerc
Arthur Leclerc (born 14 October 2000) is a Monégasque racing driver, currently set to race for DAMS in the 2023 Formula 2 Championship. He is the younger brother of Scuderia Ferrari Formula One driver Charles Leclerc, and a member of Ferrari Driver Academy. is a Japanese racing driver currently competing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with DAMS. He previously raced in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Hitech Grand Prix. Oliver Bearman (born 8 May 2005) is a British racing driver. He was the 2021 Italian and ADAC Formula 4 champion and is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. Frederik Vesti (born 13 January 2002) is a Danish racing driver who is set to compete in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Prema Racing. He is a member of the Mercedes Junior Team and the inaugural champion of the Formula Regional European Championship. Dennis Hauger (; born 17 March 2003) is a Norwegian racing driver set to compete in the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship with MP Motorsport.
