2022–23 California Golden Bears Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 California Golden Bears men's basketball team represented the University of California, Berkeley, in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was Mark Fox's fourth year as head coach at California. The Golden Bears played their home games at Haas Pavilion as members of the Pac-12 Conference. The team began the season with a record of 0–12, the worst in history for any Power Five team. They finished the season 3–29, 2–18 in Pac-12 play to finish in last place. They lost to Washington State in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament. Head coach Mark Fox was fired on March 9, 2023. He finished with a 38–87 record at Cal. On April 3, the school named Utah Valley head coach and former Stanford player Mark Madsen the team's new head coach. Mark Fox (basketball)
Mark Leslie Fox (born January 13, 1969) is a men's college basketball coach who is the head coach of the California Golden Bears of the Pac-12 Conference. He spent nine seasons (2009 to 2018) as the head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs. He was previously the head coach for the Nevada Wolf Pack, named to that position on June 1, 2004, just days after former Nevada coach Trent Johnson had resigned. Coaching career Nevada Fox was the head coach for the Nevada Wolf Pack basketball team from 2004 to 2009. While with the Wolf Pack, Fox compiled an overall record of 123–43. He also guided the Wolf Pack to five postseason appearances in five years including three NCAA tournaments. The Wolf Pack also won the Western Athletic Conference regular-season championship in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. In 2006, the team won the conference tournament as well. Hartford Hawks Men's Basketball
The Hartford Hawks men's basketball team is the basketball team that represents University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut. The school's team currently competes as an Independent. In 2008, Hartford made the America East tournament championship game falling to UMBC 65–82. In 2021, they defeated UMass Lowell, 64–50, to make their first NCAA Division I Tournament. On May 6, 2021, the University of Hartford Board of Regents voted to drop its athletic department to Division III. The drop is set to take place no later than September 1, 2025. The most notable basketball player to play for Hartford is Vin Baker, who played parts of 14 seasons in the NBA, was named to four All-Star Games, and won a gold medal for the United States men's basketball team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Lake Travis is a reservoir on the Colorado River in central Texas in the United States. Serving principally as a flood-control reservoir, Lake Travis' historical minimum to maximum water height change is nearly 100 feet. In 2018 alone, it saw a 20-foot depth increase within a single 24-hour period of time.
