2022 Women's Hockey World Cup
The 2022 Women's FIH Hockey World Cup was the 15th edition of the Women's FIH Hockey World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for women's national field hockey teams organized by the International Hockey Federation. It was held from 1 to 17 July 2022 at the Estadi Olímpic de Terrassa in Terrassa, Spain and at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. Defending champions the Netherlands won the tournament for a record ninth time after defeating Argentina 3–1 in the final. Australia won the third place match by defeating Germany 2–1. Host selection The International Hockey Federation announced in December 2018 that the 2022 FIH Hockey World Cups will be held either in July 2022 or January 2023. Estadi Olímpic De Terrassa
The Estadi Olímpic de Terrassa is a stadium in Terrassa, Catalonia, Spain. It is currently used for football matches and is the home stadium of Terrassa FC. The stadium holds 11,500 spectators. The venue hosted the field hockey competitions for the 1992 Summer Olympics. Built in 1955, it was renovated in 1991 for those games. The 2023 Women's Oceania Cup was the twelfth edition of the Women's Oceania Cup after the cancellation of the 2022 edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the biennial international women's field hockey championship of Oceania organised by the Oceania Hockey Federation. FIH Women's World Ranking
The FIH Women's World Rankings is a ranking system for women's national teams in field hockey. The teams of the member nations of International Hockey Federation (FIH), field hockey's world governing body, are ranked based on their game results. The rankings were introduced in October 2003. The 2022 Women's Pan American Cup was the sixth edition of the Women's Pan American Cup, the quadrennial international women's field hockey championship of the Americas organized by the Pan American Hockey Federation. It was planned to be held from 7 until 22 August 2021 in Tacarigua, Trinidad and Tobago. However, following the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics to July and August 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic the tournament was rescheduled and on 4 September 2020 the hosts Trinidad and Tobago withdrew from hosting the tournament. 2022 Women's Hockey Africa Cup Of Nations
The 2022 Women's Hockey Africa Cup of Nations was the eighth edition of the Women's Hockey Africa Cup of Nations, the quadrennial international women's field hockey championship of Africa organised by the African Hockey Federation. In February 2021 it was announced that the tournament would be held alongside the men's tournament at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium in Accra, Ghana from 17 to 23 January 2022.
