2022 Vanderbilt Commodores Baseball Team
The 2022 Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team represented Vanderbilt University in the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Commodores played their home games at Hawkins Field. Previous season The Commodores finished 49–18, 19–10 in the SEC to finish in second place in the East division. They hosted the 2021 Nashville Regional and finished 3–0. The Commodores then hosted East Carolina in the Nashville Super Regional, winning the first two games to advance to the College World Series. The Commodores advanced to the Championship Series of the CWS, finishing as Runner-up to Mississippi State. Tim Corbin
Timothy Carter Corbin (born August 5, 1961) is the head baseball coach of the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team. Since becoming coach at Vanderbilt in 2003, Corbin has transformed the Commodores from a perennial Southeastern Conference doormat to an elite program. When he arrived in 2003, Vanderbilt had only had six winning seasons in SEC play since baseball became a scholarship sport in 1968, and had only been to three NCAA Tournaments in school history. Since then, they have been to all but one NCAA Tournament since 2004. On June 25, 2014, he led the team to Vanderbilt's first ever men's NCAA Championship in any sport, winning the College World Series. In his first ten years, Corbin amassed a 411-217 record with the Commodores. His 2013 Commodores team set an SEC record for wins, going 26-3 in conference. Kentucky Proud Park
Kentucky Proud Park is a baseball stadium in Lexington, Kentucky. It is the home field of the University of Kentucky Wildcats college baseball team. Opened in 2018, with the Wildcats playing their first season in the stadium in 2019, it has a permanent capacity of 2,500, with grass berm seating adding more than 1,500 to the total capacity. Temporary seating can be added to bring the capacity to 7,000 for NCAA tournament games. The 2022 Florida Gators baseball team represented the University of Florida in the sport of baseball during the 2022 college baseball season. Florida competed in the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Plainsman Park
Plainsman Park, officially ''Samford Stadium – Hitchcock Field at Plainsman Park'', is the college baseball venue for the Auburn University Tigers. As of 2015, its seating capacity is 4,096. In 2003, ''Baseball America'' rated the facility the best college baseball venue in the country. The park's signature is its high left field fence, which is from home plate. The home team bullpen is located behind the left field fence, forcing media in the press box to use monitors to determine who is warming up. Plainsman Park was first used as a baseball facility in 1950. In 1996, Auburn significantly renovated Plainsman Park, drawing inspiration from ballparks such as Camden Yards, Fenway Park, and Wrigley Field in their design for the park. Drew Sanders Beam (born February 14, 2003) is an American college baseball pitcher for the Tennessee Volunteers. Amateur career Beam grew up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and attended Blackman High School, where he played football and baseball. He had a record of 8–1 and a 0.37 ERA as a sophomore. Beam committed to play college baseball at Tennessee shortly before the beginning of his junior year of high school. His junior season was canceled due to COVID-19. Tyler Chase Dollander (born October 26, 2001) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Colorado Rockies organization. He previously played college baseball for the Tennessee Volunteers and Georgia Southern Eagles. Early life Tyler Chase Dollander was born on October 26, 2001, in Evans, Georgia. He attended Greenbrier High School in Evans where he played baseball. In 2018, his sophomore season, he went 5–3 with a 2.36 ERA. As a junior in 2019, he went 6–1 with a 0.79 ERA and 71 strikeouts over innings.
