2022 Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship
The 2022 Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship was the 132nd staging of the Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Tipperary County Board in 1887. The defending champions were Loughmore–Castleiney, who were defeated by Drom & Inch at the quarter-final stage. The competition was overshadowed by the death of Clonoulty–Rossmore hurler Dillon Quirke, who collapsed after 28 minutes of play in a game against Kilruane at Semple Stadium on Friday evening, 5 August 2022. The game was abandoned and other matches were immediately called off. On 30 October, Kilruane MacDonaghs defeated Kiladangan 2–20 to 1–16 in the final after a replay to win their first title since 1985. The Semple Stadium is the home of hurling and Gaelic football for Tipperary GAA and for the province of Munster. Mullinahone-CJ Kickhams GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association located in Mullinahone, south County Tipperary, Ireland, close to the border with County Kilkenny. Carrick Swans GAA
Carrick Swan GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club, located in the town of Carrick-on-Suir in south County Tipperary in Ireland. It is one of three GAA clubs in the town, one of which, St. Molleran's, is in County Waterford in the southern suburb of Carrickbeg. The Swan are predominantly a hurling club and lead the roll of honour for the number of South Tipperary senior hurling championships won. The club enjoys a keen rivalry with the longer established Carrick Davins, named in honour of Maurice Davin, first President of the GAA who lived at Deerpark near the town. They have one of the best setups for underage youngsters in the county with numerous county titles been won underage. JK Brackens is a Gaelic Athletic Association club serving the parish of Templemore, Clonmore and Killea in County Tipperary, Ireland. JK Brackens compete in the county Tipperary GAA and Mid-Tipperary divisional competitions and is one of only two clubs in Tipperary that consistently complete at senior level in both the hurling and gaelic football. Roscrea GAA
Roscrea () is a market town in County Tipperary, Ireland, which in 2016 had a population of 5,446. Roscrea is one of the oldest towns in Ireland, having developed around the 7th century monastery of Saint Crónán of Roscrea, parts of which remain preserved today. Roscrea is a designated ''Irish Heritage Town'' due to the extent of important historical buildings that are preserved in the town. The Tipperary Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship, formerly Séamus Ó Riain Cup, (known for sponsorship reasons as the FBD Insurance Tipperary Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 2017 for the second tier hurling teams in the county of Tipperary in Ireland. The series of games are played during the spring, summer and autumn months with the cup final currently being played at Semple Stadium in October.
