2022 Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic
The 2022 Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic was held from August 4 to 7 at the Hokkaido Bank Curling Stadium in Sapporo, Japan. It was the first tour event of the 2022–23 curling season and the first event of the Hokkaido Curling Tour. The total purse for the event is ¥ 1,700,000 on both the men's and women's sides. In the men's final, the 2022 Korean champions Team Jeong Byeong-jin defeated the Yusuke Morozumi rink 7–2 to win the title. Team Jeong, also consisting of Lee Jeong-jae, Kim Min-woo and Kim Tae-hwan went a perfect 5–0 to win the event, finishing first in their pool with a 3–0 record. They then beat the other Korean team skipped by Jeong Yeong-seok in the semifinal to earn their spot in the final game. Team Morozumi suffered one loss to the Jeong rink in the round robin but were able to defeat Team Hayato Sato in the semifinal to also reach the final. The 2021 Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic was held from August 19 to 22 at the Hokkaido Bank Curling Stadium in Sapporo, Japan. It was one of the first events of the 2021–22 curling season. is a Japanese curler. She is the skip on the Hokkaido Bank curling team. At the international level, Tabata medaled silver at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics as the third on the Japanese mixed team. Ha Seung-youn (born May 19, 2000) is a South Korean curler from Uijeongbu. She is the skip of the Chuncheon City Hall curling team. While playing with Kim Min-ji, she won a silver medal at the 2020 World Junior Curling Championships. Career Ha joined Team Kim in 2019. is a Japanese curler from Saku, Nagano. She is the skip of the Chubu Electric Power curling team, which won the Japan Curling Championships in both 2017 and 2019. The 2022 Korean Curling Championships (branded as the 2022 KB Financial Korean Curling Championships), Korea's national curling championships, were held from June 11 to 17 at the Jincheon National Training Centre in Jincheon, South Korea. The winning teams on both the men's and women's sides became the Korean National Teams for the 2022–23 curling season.
