2022 Colorado Elections
A general election was held in the U.S. state of Colorado on November 8, 2022. All of Colorado's executive officers were up for election, as well as all of Colorado's seats in the United States House of Representatives, and Colorado's U.S. Senate seat currently occupied by Michael Bennet. The Colorado Democratic Party had a very successful election, sweeping every single statewide race by a double-digit margin. The party easily maintained control of the state’s Class 3 U.S. Senate seat and all state executive offices, including the governorship. Democrats expanded their supermajorities in both chambers of the general assembly and won five of eight U.S. House districts (including winning the newly drawn 8th district in an upset, and nearly flipping the Republican-leaning 3rd district in an unexpectedly close result). Colorado
Colorado (, other variants) is a state in the Mountain West subregion of the Western United States. Ken Buck
Kenneth Robert Buck (born February 16, 1959) is an American lawyer and politician who has represented Colorado's 4th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives since 2015. From March 30, 2019, to March 27, 2021, Buck served as chair of the Colorado Republican Party, having replaced Jeff Hays. Formerly the District Attorney for Weld County, Colorado, Buck ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate in 2010, narrowly losing to Democrat Michael Bennet. Lang Sias
Langhorne Cowles Sias (born 1959) is an American politician who represented House District 27 in the Colorado House of Representatives. A vacancy committee appointed Sias to the office after his predecessor resigned, and he was sworn into office on February 4, 2015. A Republican, he was subsequently elected to the office in the November, 2016 general election. Sias was the unsuccessful Republican nominee for lieutenant governor and running mate of Walker Stapleton in the 2018 Colorado gubernatorial election. David L. Young is an American politician and the current Treasurer of Colorado. He served as a Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 50 from the time of his appointment on July 28, 2011 to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Jim Riesberg until his term ended and he took office as State Treasurer in early 2019. Jena Griswold
Jena Marie Griswold (born October 2, 1984) is an American attorney and politician from the state of Colorado. A Democrat, she is the 39th Colorado Secretary of State, serving since January 8, 2019.
