2022 AFL Women's All-Australian Team
The 2022 AFL Women's All-Australian team represents the best-performed players of the 2022 AFL Women's season. The team was announced on 5 April 2022 as a complete women's Australian rules football team of 21 players. The team is honorary and does not play any games. Selection panel The selection panel for the 2022 AFL Women's All-Australian team consisted of chairwoman Nicole Livingstone, Andrew Dillon, Laura Kane, Brad Scott, Sam Virgo, Narelle Smith, Kelli Underwood, Sarah Black, Megan Waters and Tim Harrington. Erin Victoria Phillips (born 19 May 1985) is an Australian rules footballer for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW) competition, a radio host, and a former professional basketball player. She played nine seasons in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) for five different teams and is a two-time WNBA champion. She also represented Australia on the women's national basketball team, winning a gold medal at the 2006 FIBA World Championship for Women and serving as a co-vice captain at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Hayley Miller (born 3 February 1996) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's competition. Miller won the Fremantle fairest and best and leading goalkicker awards in 2022 and was named in the 2022 AFL Women's All-Australian team. She has served as Fremantle captain since the 2022 season, and is also Fremantle's games record holder with 60 games. Kiara Bowers (born 16 November 1991) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Career In July 2016, Bowers was announced as Fremantle's second marquee signing ahead of the inaugural AFL Women's season. However, in August 2016, 5 months before the start of the season, Bowers ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament whilst playing for the Coastal Titans in the West Australian Women's Football League. Ebony Antonio (born 18 December 1991) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Antonio represented The Allies in the inaugural AFL Women's State of Origin match in 2017, and won AFL Women's All-Australian selection and the Fremantle fairest and best award in 2018. Ruby Schleicher ( ; born 16 March 1998) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Collingwood Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Schleicher is a dual AFL Women's All-Australian. Early life and state football As a junior basketball player with the Willetton Tigers, Schleicher won the Western Australian Basketball League (WABL) Female Player of the Year award in 2014. She also represented the under-16 and the under-18 Western Australian Metropolitan teams. Kerryn Peterson (née Harrington, born 2 March 1992) is an Australian rules footballer and former basketballer.
