2022 ADCC World Championship
The 2022 ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship was a two-day no-gi submission grappling event that took place on 17-18 September 2022 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. History The tournament was originally scheduled to take place in September 2021 but was postponed to 2022 due to the international travel restrictions and the global lockdowns caused by the Covid 19 pandemic. Competitors have to qualify by finishing first of a continental qualifying events, known as ADCC Trials, or by being invited to compete by the organisation. Returning champions or previous world championships medallists are automatically qualified. Sam McNally, the lowest seeded competitor in his division () upset number one seed Garry Tonon in a 3-0 win. Kade Ruotolo won the 77kg division; at age 19 becoming the youngest ever ADCC champion.

ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship
The ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship, is an international submission grappling competition, organised by the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC). The inaugural tournament was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 1998. It has been held every two years since, except in 2021 due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Host countries have included Brazil, China, Finland, Spain, the UK, and the US. Competitors can only participate after winning ADCC trials or by invitation. While most athletes come from the IBJJF Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitive scene, it is open to competitors from any grappling style. The 2022 edition took place in front of 13,000 fans in attendance at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Diogo Reis
Diogo Reis is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt athlete. A competitor since childhood, Reis is a European Open, Brazilian Nationals, Pan and World Champion in the juvenile and lower belt divisions, completing an IBJJF Grand Slam in 2019. Reiss is a 2022 ADCC World Submission Fighting Champion and a black belt 2022 World Jiu-Jitsu Championship medallist. Grappling career Reis was born on 20 March 2002 in Manaus, Brazil. AJ Agazarm (born July 26, 1990) is an American submission grappler, mixed martial artist and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt practitioner. A multiple-time champion in coloured belts, Agazarm is a black belt World No-Gi Champion, Pan American No-Gi Champion, Brazilian National No-Gi Champion, European No-Gi Open Champion as well as a ADCC Submission Fighting World medallist. Beatriz Mesquita also known as Bia Mesquita is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) competitor with arguably the best competitive record in both Gi and Nogi of all time having won 24 titles at black belt level in the 4 major Gi Championships.
