2021–22 KNVB Cup
The 2021–22 KNVB Cup, for sponsoring reasons officially called the TOTO KNVB Beker, is the 104th season of the annual Dutch national football cup competition. It began in August with the first of two preliminary rounds, and will conclude April 17, 2022 with the final played at De Kuip in Rotterdam. Ajax are defending champions as they won the 2021 final. The winners will participate in the 2022 Johan Cruyff Shield against the 2021–22 Eredivisie champions. Schedule Matches First preliminary round 24 amateur teams qualified for this stage, with 12 teams receiving a bye to the second preliminary round. The 2020–21 KNVB Cup, for sponsoring reasons officially called the TOTO KNVB Beker, was the 103rd season of the annual Dutch national football cup competition. It commenced on 29 August 2020 with the first of two preliminary rounds, and concluded on 18 April 2021 with the final played at De Kuip in Rotterdam. Ajax were the defending champions as the winners of the 2019 final, with the 2020 final cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands. Ajax went on to successfully defend their title after defeating Vitesse 2–1 in the final. As winners, Ajax would participate in the 2021 Johan Cruyff Shield against the 2020–21 Eredivisie champions. Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all six district cups were abandoned, before any of them had reached the semi-finals. Ter Leede
Ter Leede is a football club based in Sassenheim, Netherlands. The club was established on 30 April 1930, as a merger of the clubs ''Poellaan'' and ''Roda''. The men's team is currently playing in the Dutch Hoofdklasse, after being relegated from the Topklasse in 2013–14. The women's team is playing in the women's Hoofdklasse, until the introduction of the Eredivisie for women's football in 2007 the highest level of women's football in the country. JOS Watergraafsmeer is an association football club from the Amsterdam district Watergraafsmeer. In 2010 the club had around 500 registered members. The Saturday team plays in the Derde Klasse, while the Sunday team competes in the Eerste Klasse. History 20th century: Origins and founding The club came into its current formation in 1995 after the fusion of two clubs from Watergraafsmeer, Jeugd Organisatie Sportclub (JOS, founded 1920) and Watergraafsmeer (1988). Sportcomplex De Toekomst (Dutch for ''Sporting complex The Future'') is a sporting complex in Ouder-Amstel, Netherlands, owned by AFC Ajax N.V. The complex comprises nine football fields and is located close to the Johan Cruyff Arena. Its main field has seating capacity for 2,000 people.
