Haaksbergen
Haaksbergen () is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands, in the province of Overijssel, in the Twente region. The ''Buurserbeek'' flows through the municipality of Haaksbergen. Three visitors were reported dead, amongst them one child. According to Hans Gerritsen, mayor of Haaksbergen at the time, twelve people were injured. Andy Scharmin
Andy Scharmin (29 November 1967 – 7 June 1989) was a Dutch footballer. During his career he served FC Twente. He died at the age of 21, when on 7 June 1989 he was killed in the Surinam Airways Flight PY764 air crash in Paramaribo. He was the captain of the Netherlands U-21 team. His mother was from Suriname, while his father was German. Biography Born in Paramaribo, Scharmin lived and grew up in Haaksbergen and played his first football at VV Haaksbergen. A few years later he was scouted by FC Twente and joined the youth squads of that team. He was known as a social guy and a talented player with a great future ahead of him. Twente
Twente ( nl, Twente , Tweants dialect: ''Tweante'') is a region in the eastern Netherlands. It encompasses the most urbanised and easternmost part of the province of Overijssel. Erik Ten Hag
Erik ten Hag (, born 2 February 1970) is a Dutch professional football coach and former player, who is currently the manager of Premier League club Manchester United. As a player, Ten Hag played as a centre-back in the Dutch league for 13 years, making appearances for Twente (three spells), De Graafschap, RKC Waalwijk and Utrecht. He won the 1990–91 Eerste Divisie with De Graafschap and the 2000–01 KNVB Cup with Twente. In 2012, Ten Hag was appointed as manager of Go Ahead Eagles in the Eerste Divisie. Paul Ulenbelt (born 1 April 1952 in Haaksbergen) is a Dutch politician and former trade unionist and academic. As a member of the Socialist Party (Socialistische Partij) he was an MP between 30 November 2006 and 23 March 2017. He focused on matters of pensions, income and employment. Shirley van der Lof (born November 7, 1986 in Haaksbergen, Overijssel) is a racing driver from the Netherlands, and grand daughter of former Formula One-driver Dries van der Lof. Besides her racing career, she has studied "real estate and broking". She strives to become the first Dutch female formula one driver. Shirley first started driving in go-karts at age 14, and was immediately hooked to the speed. In 2001, at age 15, she won her first go-karting championship. Bram Tankink (born 3 December 1978) is a Dutch former professional road bicycle racer, who competed between 2000 and 2018 for the Löwik Meubelen–Tegeltoko, , and squads. Born in Haaksbergen, Tankink started his career as a mountain biker, but in 1999 he became a road rider. Johannes Hermanus "Han" ten Broeke (born 2 March 1969) is a Dutch politician who served as a member of the House of Representatives from 30 November 2006 until 4 September 2018. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (''Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie'', VVD), he focused his parliamentary work on matters of foreign policy and the Armed forces of the Netherlands. Thomas Berge, pseudonym of Chiel Thomas Ottink (born 25 January 1990) is a Dutch singer. Biography Thomas Berge was born in Enschede. He released his first single at the age of twelve.
