2021 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2021 World Junior Figure Skating Championships were scheduled to be held from March 1–7, 2021 in Harbin, China. Figure skaters would have competed for the title of junior world champion in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance. The competition would have determined the entry quotas for each federation during the 2021–22 ISU Junior Grand Prix series and at the 2022 World Junior Championships. Harbin was announced as the host in October 2018. It would have been China's first time hosting Junior Worlds. ISU Figure Skating Championships
The International Skating Union organizes six annual Championships for figure skating. It is at the discretion of each member country which skaters, pairs or synchronized skating teams are sent to which championship. No skater in men's single skating, women's single skating, pair skating and ice dancing can compete at all four competitions in one season, but some skaters have competed at all four over the course of their careers. 2021–22 ISU Junior Grand Prix
The 2021–22 ISU Junior Grand Prix was the 24th season of a series of junior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It was the junior-level complement to the 2021–22 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Free Dance (figure Skating)
The free dance (FD) is a segment of an ice dance competition, the second contested. It follows the rhythm dance (RD). Skaters perform "a creative dance program blending dance steps and movements expressing the character/rhythm(s) of the dance music chosen by the couple".S&P/ID 2022, p. 143 Its duration is four minutes for senior ice dancers, and 3.5 minutes for juniors. Rhythm Dance
The rhythm dance (RD) is the first segment of an ice dance competition. The short program of figure skating is the first of two segments of competitions, skated before the free skating program. It lasts, for both senior and junior singles and pair skaters, 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In synchronized skating, for both juniors and seniors, the short program lasts 2 minutes and 50 seconds. 2021 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships
The 2021 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships were scheduled to be held from February 9–14, 2021 in Sydney, Australia. Held annually since 1999, the competition would have featured skaters from the Americas, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. Medals were to be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance. Sydney was announced as the host in June 2019. The 2020 SHISEIDO Cup of China was the third event in the 2020–21 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Chongqing Huaxi Culture and Sports Center in Chongqing, China on November 6–8. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance.
