2021 Norwegian First Division
The 2021 Norwegian First Division (referred to as OBOS-ligaen for sponsorship reasons) is a Norwegian second-tier football league season. The league started on 15 May 2021, and ended on 27 November 2021. HamKam earned promotion to Eliteserien on 6 November 2021, after a 1–0 win against Stjørdals-Blink. Aalesund secured their promotion in the penultimate round. Teams In the 2020 1. divisjon, Tromsø and Lillestrøm were promoted to the 2021 Eliteserien, while Kongsvinger and Øygarden were relegated to the 2021 2. divisjon. Start and Aalesund were relegated from the 2020 Eliteserien, while Fredrikstad and Bryne were promoted from the 2020 2. divisjon. Idrettslaget Stjørdals-Blink is a Norwegian sports club from Stjørdalshalsen, Trøndelag. It has sections for association football, team handball, volleyball, track and field, orienteering, cycling, swimming, gymnastics, speed skating, and Nordic skiing. History Establishment It was established in 1956 as a merger between ''Stjørdal IL'' (the former AIF club ''Stjørdal AIL'') and ''IL Blink''. The club counts 1910 as its founding year. The club also played several seasons in the 2. divisjon during the 1990s until the relegation in 1998. 2021 Eliteserien
The 2021 Eliteserien was the 77th completed season of top-tier football in Norway. This was fifth season of Eliteserien as rebranding from Tippeligaen. The season was originally scheduled to begin on 5 April and end on 27 November 2021, not including play-off matches. Restrictions enforced by the government due to the COVID-19 pandemic forced the Norwegian Football Federation to postpone the start several times and the league started on 9 May 2021. The last round was played on 12 December 2021. Bodø/Glimt were the defending champions. Tromsø and Lillestrøm joined as the promoted clubs from the 2020 Norwegian First Division. They replaced Aalesund and IK Start who were relegated to the 2021 Norwegian First Division. Tromsø Idrettslag is a Norwegian professional football club founded in 1920, based in the city of Tromsø. They play their home games at Alfheim Stadion. Tromsø play in the Eliteserien. KFUM-Kameratene Oslo is the sports branch of the local YMCA in Oslo, Norway. It has sections for association football, futsal, volleyball and track and field. The football team currently plays in 1. divisjon, the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 1 January 1939. Its traditional base is in downtown Oslo, but it now plays its matches at KFUM Arena at Ekebergsletta. Grorud Idrettslag is a Norwegian sports club from Grorud borough, Oslo. It has sections for association football, skiing, gymnastics and tennis. General history As a sports club based in Grorud, it had two predecessor clubs in ''Grorud IF'', which existed from 1904 to 1905, and ''Grorud TIF'', which existed from 1908 to 1914. Grorud IL was finally founded on 18 March 1918. At the time, Grorud was still located in Aker municipality. The district was incorporated into Oslo in 1948 and tied to the city centre with the Grorud Line of the Oslo Metro in 1966. Idrettsklubben Start (or simply IK Start, translates to The sports club Start ) is a Norwegian football club from the city of Kristiansand that currently plays in the 1. divisjon, the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 19 September 1905. The club's current head coach is Sindre Tjelmeland.
