2021 Michelin Le Mans Cup
The 2021 Le Mans Cup, known as the 2021 Michelin Le Mans Cup under sponsorship, was the sixth season of the Le Mans Cup. It began on 17 April at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and ended on 25 October at the Algarve International Circuit. The series was open to Le Mans Prototypes in the LMP3 class, and grand tourer sports cars in the GT3 class. Calendar The 2021 calendar was unveiled on 19 October 2020. 2021 European Le Mans Series
The 2021 European Le Mans Series was the eighteenth season of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest's (ACO) European Le Mans Series. The six-event season began at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 18th April and finished at Algarve International Circuit on 24th October. The series was open to Le Mans Prototypes, divided into the LMP2 and LMP3 classes, and grand tourer-style racing cars in the LMGTE class. Calendar The calendar for the 2021 season was announced on 8 October 2020. The Red Bull Ring returned to the series after a two-year absence, while Silverstone was not featured on the calendar. Circuit De La Sarthe
The Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans, also known as Circuit de la Sarthe (after the 1906 French Grand Prix triangle circuit) located in Le Mans, Sarthe, France, is a semi-permanent motorsport race course, chiefly known as the venue for the 24 Hours of Le Mans auto race. Comprising private, race-specific sections of track in addition to public roads which remain accessible most of the year, its present configuration is long, making it one of the longest circuits in the world. The capacity of the race stadium, where the short ''Bugatti Circuit'' is situated, is 100,000. The Musée des 24 Heures du Mans is a motorsport museum located at the main entrance of the venue. Laurents Hörr (born 11 September 1997) is a German racing driver who currently competes in the European Le Mans Series. Career Lower formula Hörr began his open-wheel racing career in 2014, competing in a pair of races with Dutt Motorsport, a team he co-owned with Rolf and Oliver Dutt, in the Formula Renault 1.6 Northern European Cup. The following season, he scored his first open wheel victory at Anderstorp Raceway while competing in the Formula Renault 1.6 Nordic championship. Hörr started competing in Formula Renault 2.0 machinery in 2016. Following the 2017 season, a lack of funding prematurely ended his junior formula career. Sports car racing Due to Hörr's lack of funding, he made the transition to sports car racing for the 2018 season, taking part in the Michelin Le Mans Cup with French team CD Sport. Duqueine D-08
The Duqueine D-08 is a Le Mans Prototype LMP3 built to ACO 2020 2nd Generation Le Mans Prototype LMP3 regulations. It was designed, and built by Duqueine Engineering, which bought out Norma Auto Concept. The car is the successor to the Norma M30. The car can be built from its predecessor, and is set to be eligible in a series of Championships worldwide, such as the European Le Mans Series, and the IMSA Prototype Challenge. While the car was launched on the weekend of the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans, it was not physically seen until September 2019, with the car at Le Mans being a repainted M30. DKR Engineering is a racing team and preparation firm from Luxembourg, which competed in the FIA GT1 World Championship. The company was founded in 2004 by Kendy Janclaes as a branch of the PSI Experience racing team from Belgium. After running PSI's racing programs, DKR began their own programs in 2008, running in the FFSA GT Championship with Corvettes. DKR expanded into the FIA GT Championship in 2009 where PSI had previously competed, running their own program under the Sangari Team Brazil banner and netting a single victory and sixth in the Teams' Championship.
