2021 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships
The 2021 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships took place from 22 to 26 September 2021 in Bratislava, Slovakia under the auspices of International Canoe Federation (ICF). It was the 41st edition. The events took place at the Čunovo Water Sports Centre which was reconstructed before the championships. Bratislava hosted the championships for the second time after previously hosting in 2011 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, 2011. Bratislava also hosted the 2021 Wildwater Canoeing World Championships as part of the same event. Schedule Ten medal events were contested. Lukáš Rohan
Lukáš Rohan (; born 30 May 1995) is a Czech slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2010. He is from Mělník, Czech Republic but lives and trains in Prague. Lukáš now competes solely in the C1 discipline, however he competed in the C2 discipline alongside Adam Svoboda and Martin Říha at different times between 2010 and 2015. He is coached by his father, Olympic silver medallist Jiří Rohan. Rohan won a silver medal in the C1 event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He also won a silver medal in the C1 team event at the 2021 World Championships in Bratislava. He won three medals at the European Championships including a silver medal in the C1 event at the 2020 European Championships in Prague and a silver and a bronze medal in the C1 team event at the 2014 and 2018 events, respectively. Martin Srabotnik (born 19 December 1995) is a Slovenian slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2011. He won two bronze medals in the K1 team event at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships earning them in 2017 and 2021. Peter Kauzer
Peter Kauzer (born 8 September 1983) is a Slovenian slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 1999. Career Kauzer has competed at four Summer Olympics. He finished 13th in the K1 event at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing after being eliminated in the semi-finals. Four years later at the London games he was one of the top favorites for gold in the K1 event. He made the final after recording the fastest time in the semi-final, but after a disappointing run in the final he could only finish in sixth place. Martin Halčin (born 22 May 1991) is a Slovak slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2008, specializing mostly in the K1 discipline. Jakub Grigar
Jakub Grigar (born 27 April 1997) is a Slovak slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2012. He specializes in the K1 discipline and occasionally competes in kayak cross. Grigar competed at two Olympic Games. He finished 5th in the K1 event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and won the silver medal in the K1 event at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He also won two silver medals in the K1 team event at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, earning them in 2015 and 2021.
