2021 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic
The 2021 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic was held from October 8 to 11 at the Calgary Curling Club in Calgary, Alberta. The event was held in a triple-knockout format with a purse of $44,000. After dropping into the C Event, the United States' Team Tabitha Peterson won five straight sudden death games to claim the title. In the final, they defeated Japan's Satsuki Fujisawa 7–5. Breanne Knapp
Breanne Knapp (born April 16, 1990 in Winnipeg, Manitoba as Breanne Meakin) is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. She is a four-time Manitoba Junior Champion and a one-time Canadian junior champion (2009). She has won a silver medal at the World Junior Curling Championships. Career Juniors Knapp had a successful Junior career. At the Canadian Junior Curling Championships she won silver in 2007 and gold in 2009. Carolyn McRorie
Carolyn Darbyshire-McRorie (born December 6, 1963) is a Canadian curler from Calgary, Alberta. She played second for Cheryl Bernard from 2005–2011. She is currently the coach of Team Casey Scheidegger. Career Darbyshire-McRorie joined Bernard's team in 2005 after playing for Renelle Bryden. She has since won two provincial championships as a member of the team (2007 and 2009). Darbyshire-McRorie played third for Heather Fowlie (Rankin) at the 2001 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials, and finished with a 4–5 record. As a member of team Bernard, Darbyshire-McRorie once again made it to the trials in 2009. McRorie is known for her distinctive "Manitoba tuck" delivery while using a corn broom while delivering the rock. Cheryl Bernard
Cheryl Bernard (born June 30, 1966) is a Canadian curler from Calgary, Alberta. She represented Team Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics as the team's skip, winning the silver medal in women's curling after falling to Sweden in the final. Her first major tournament win came at the 2009 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials in Edmonton, Alberta. Career Early career Bernard was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta. She began curling at the age of eight. In 1988, she lost in the Alberta provincial finals; however, four years later she would win the provincial title, earning a berth at the 1992 Scott Tournament of Hearts, Canada's national curling championship with her team of Allison Earl, Barb Davies and Bev Kellerman. Danielle Sicinski (born November 30, 1982) is a Canadian curler from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. She currently plays lead on Team Penny Barker. With Barker, Sicinski has won two Saskatchewan Scotties Tournament of Hearts provincial titles in 2017 and 2022. Career Sicinski joined the Barker rink in 2009 for the 2009–10 season. After a few slow seasons, she played in her first Grand Slam of Curling event at the 2012 Colonial Square Ladies Classic. Her then rink of Barker, third Susan Lang and second Melissa Hoffman lost all three of their games in the triple knock-out tournament. Jenna Enge
Jenna Enge (born March 2, 1988) is a Canadian curler, originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario. She currently plays second on Team Penny Barker. She formerly played for the Tracy Fleury (née Horgan) rink and in 2015, Team Horgan became the first team to represent Northern Ontario at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Career Juniors Enge was born in Fort Frances, Ontario. She was a Northern Ontario junior champion in 2008, playing second for Ashley Miharija. At the 2008 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, playing for Miharija, they finished with a 8–4 record, tied for third place with Alberta (skipped by Maria Bushell) and Saskatchewan (skipped by Stephanie McVicar). Christie Gamble (born May 22, 1986, as Christie Lang) is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. She currently plays third on Team Penny Barker. Career Before moving to Nova Scotia, Gamble played with the Saskia Hollands rink out of Lacolle, Quebec. The team played in the 2010 Quebec Scotties Tournament of Hearts, losing in the 3 vs. 4 page playoff game. She then moved to Nova Scotia and joined the Marie Christianson rink. The team failed to qualify for the provincial championship, so Gamble moved on and joined Team Sarah Rhyno. The team successfully qualified for the 2012 Nova Scotia Scotties Tournament of Hearts, but finished in last place in the provincial championship with a 2–5 record.
