The 2021 Canadian Championship Final was an association football match played between CF Montréal and Toronto FC at Saputo Stadium on November 21, 2021. The match determined the winner of the 2021 Canadian Championship, Canada's primary men's domestic cup competition. 2021 Canadian Championship
The 2021 Canadian Championship was the fourteenth edition of the Canadian Championship, contested from August 15 to November 21, 2021. The winners of the tournament, CF Montréal, were awarded the Voyageurs Cup and earned a berth in the 2022 CONCACAF Champions League. Format The competition follows a similar format to the originally proposed 2020 edition with four rounds and regional pairings in the first two rounds. 2017 Canadian Championship
The 2017 Canadian Championship was a soccer tournament hosted and organized by the Canadian Soccer Association. It was the tenth edition of the annual Canadian Championship. The 2017 edition saw the introduction of a rule that required three players to be named in the starting eleven of each participating team who are eligible (and have declared their intention, if they had otherwise played for another national team) to play for the Canada men's national soccer team. Due to the restructuring of the CONCACAF Champions League, the winner of the 2017 Canadian Championship would have advanced to a playoff against Toronto FC, the winner of the 2016 Canadian Championship, to be played in Toronto on August 9, 2017, for a place in the 2018 CONCACAF Champions League. Forge FC
Forge FC is a Canadian professional soccer club based in Hamilton, Ontario, that competes in the Canadian Premier League, the top tier of Canadian soccer. Wanderers Grounds
Wanderers Grounds is a sporting complex in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and home to Canadian Premier League professional soccer club HFX Wanderers FC. The grounds were originally part of the Halifax Commons. The land was used in the 1880s by the Halifax Wanderers Amateur Athletic Club (WAAC) and was their home grounds for the sports of rugby and lawn bowling. Leased to the club in the 1800s, the club failed to pay its lease fees during the Second World War and the land's use reverted to the City of Halifax (Halifax Regional Municipality) who have maintained it since then. The Wanderers Grounds was also the home of the Halifax Pelham Canadians of the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball league 1977–2008. HFX Wanderers Football Club, commonly known as HFX Wanderers, and spoken as Halifax Wanderers, is a Canadian professional Association football, soccer club in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Voyageurs Cup
The Voyageurs Cup (french: Coupe des Voyageurs) is the domestic trophy for professional soccer in Canada, awarded to the best men's and women's clubs in the country. The Cup was conceived and commissioned by fans of the Canada men's national team, the Voyageurs, in 2002. From 2002 to 2007, the cup was awarded annually to the Canadian team finishing with the best record in the USL First Division, from regular-season matches against other Canadian teams in the league. 2018 Canadian Championship
The 2018 Canadian Championship was a soccer tournament hosted and organized by the Canadian Soccer Association. It was the eleventh edition of the annual Canadian Championship. Toronto FC won the competition for the third consecutive year and qualified for the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League. The 2018 edition saw the invitation of the champions of League1 Ontario (L1O) and Première Ligue de soccer du Québec (PLSQ). FC Edmonton suspended operations and did not take part in the Championship this year. As a result, a new format was adopted which saw the L1O and PLSQ champions, the Oakville Blue Devils and A.S. Blainville, enter in a new first qualifying round. The 2016 Canadian Championship (officially the Amway Canadian Championship for sponsorship reasons) was a soccer tournament hosted and organized by the Canadian Soccer Association. It was the ninth edition of the annual Canadian Championship, and took place in the cities of Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver in 2016. The participating teams were Ottawa Fury FC and FC Edmonton of the second-division North American Soccer League, and the Montreal Impact, Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC of Major League Soccer, the first-level of Canadian club soccer.
