2021 BMW PGA Championship
The 2021 BMW PGA Championship was the 67th edition of the BMW PGA Championship, an annual golf tournament on the European Tour, held 9–12 September at the West Course of Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, England, a suburb southwest of London. Billy Horschel won the event, carding a final-round 65 to finish one shot ahead of Kiradech Aphibarnrat, Laurie Canter and Jamie Donaldson. It was his second European Tour victory. 2021 European Tour
The 2021 European Tour was the 50th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972 and the 13th and final edition of the Race to Dubai. The Race to Dubai was won by Collin Morikawa, becoming the first American player to do so. Matti Schmid was named Rookie of the Year. Changes for 2021 Following a heavily disrupted 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a new look to the calendar announced in December 2020, with tournaments being scheduled in groups based on location. The Rolex Series was also reduced to just four tournaments - the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, the Abrdn Scottish Open, the BMW PGA Championship and the season ending DP World Tour Championship, Dubai. Masahiro Kawamura
is a Japanese professional golfer, who plays on the European Tour, Japan Golf Tour and the Asian Tour. Kawamura won his first title in 2013 at the Asia-Pacific Panasonic Open on the Japan Golf Tour, a tournament also co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour. Joakim Lagergren
Joakim Kevin Lagergren (born 15 November 1991) is a Swedish professional golfer who currently plays on the European Tour having previously played on the Challenge Tour. Professional career Lagergren turned professional in 2010 and initially played his golf on the Nordic mini-tours picking up his first win at the 2010 Landskrona Masters on the Nordic Golf League. He earned his playing rights on the 2011 Challenge Tour at qualifying school and played 13 events before returning to qualifying school at the end of 2011 where he earned his playing rights for the European Tour in 2012. Nicolai Højgaard
Nicolai Højgaard (born 12 March 2001) is a Danish professional golfer. He had a successful amateur career, winning the 2018 European Amateur and being part of the Danish team that won the Eisenhower Trophy later in the year. Amateur career Højgaard was part of the Danish team that won the 2017 European Boys Team Championship, beating the hosts Spain in the final. Højgaard had a successful 2018. In April he won a professional tournament, the Bravo Tours Open on the Nordic Golf League. Bernd Wiesberger
Bernd Klaus Wiesberger (; born 8 October 1985) is an Austrian professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and the LIV Golf Invitational Series. He finished the 2019 season in third place on the Race to Dubai standings, his best finish to date. In July 2015, when he won the Alstom Open de France, Wiesberger became the most successful Austrian golfer on the European Tour with three tour victories. Sean Crocker (born August 31, 1996) is an American professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Early life and amateur career Crocker was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. His father, Gary, was a test cricketer, who played for Zimbabwe from 1992 to 1993. They moved from Zimbabwe to California when Crocker was five due to political issues. He played collegiate golf for the University of Southern California, after transitioning from baseball to golf at the age of thirteen. Fabrizio Zanotti
Fabrizio Zanotti (born 21 May 1983) is a Paraguayan professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Early life Zanotti was born in Asunción. He was Paraguay's top ranked amateur golfer for six straight years. Professional career Zanotti turned professional in 2003. In 2006 Zanotti won the Tour de las Americas Order of Merit with victory at the final event of the season, the Abierto Mexicano Corona. Pablo Larrazábal Corominas (born 15 May 1983) is a Spanish professional golfer currently playing on the European Tour. He also played in the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational Series event at the Centurion Club. Early life Larrazábal was born in Barcelona, Spain.
