Marcus Armitage
Marcus Ashley Philip Armitage (born 15 July 1987) is an English professional golfer. He won the 2021 Porsche European Open on the European Tour. Professional career Armitage turned professional in 2008. He played on the PGA EuroPro Tour in 2013, earning rookie of the year honours. He also won on tour as part of fourteen total victories for the year. Over the 2014 season, Armitage reworked his swing. Armitage won twice on the 2015 PGA EuroPro Tour, finished fourth in the money list, and earned his tour card for the 2016 Challenge Tour. Armitage won the 2016 Foshan Open on the Challenge Tour. He was also a runner-up in the Volopa Irish Challenge and finished 11th in the Order of Merit to earn his tour card for the 2017 European Tour. Armitage had a disappointing season in 2017 and lost his card on the main tour. South African Open (golf)
The South African Open is one of the oldest national open golf championships in the world, having first been played in 1903, and is one of the principal tournaments on the Southern-Africa-based Sunshine Tour. Since 1997 it has also been co-sanctioned by the European Tour. History The first formal event was organised in 1903, following a series of exhibition matches that had been held over the preceding ten years. The championship was initially contested over just 36 holes until 1908, when it was extended to become a 72-hole tournament. Nathan Kimsey (born 21 March 1993) is an English professional golfer. In 2022, he won the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final and the Challenge Tour Rankings. Amateur career Kimsey, from Woodhall Spa Golf Club in Lincolnshire, were an integral part of the England squad between 2010 and 2013. Steven Nicholas Surry (born 11 February 1982) is an English professional golfer. Surry was born in Bath, Somerset and turned professional in 2003. Darius Arjen Joel van Driel (born 2 June 1989) is a Dutch professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Amateur career Born in Leidschendam, Netherlands, van Driel took up golf at the age of 11.
