The 2021 Austrian Grand Prix (officially known as the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich) was the eleventh round of the 2021 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season and the fifth round of the 2021 MotoE World Cup. It was held at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg on 15 August 2021. Background Yamaha suspended and withdrew Maverick Viñales from the entry list of the Grand Prix prior to the weekend for an “unexplained irregular operation of the motorcycle” after Round 10 in Styria. The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport race track in Spielberg, Styria, Austria. The race circuit was founded as Österreichring (translation: Austrian Circuit) and hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years, from to . It was later shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring (A Eins-Ring), and it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix again from to . When Formula One outgrew the circuit, a plan was drawn up to extend the layout. The 2021 MotoE World Cup (known officially as the 2021 FIM Enel MotoE World Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the third season of the MotoE World Cup for electric motorcycle racing, and was a support series of the 73rd F.I.M. Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. The Cup was won by Spanish rider Jordi Torres for the second consecutive season at the final round in Misano. 2021 Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing Season

Road Racing World Championship season. Fabio Quartararo won his first world title, with five race wins ahead of securing the title in the third last race of the season. Dominique Aegerter (born 30 September 1990) is a Swiss professional road racer of solo motorcycles, competing in both the MotoE World Championship and the Supersport World Championship. He won the Supersport World Championship in and 2022. He also won the MotoE World Cup in . For 2023, Aegerter will join the GRT Yamaha team in World Superbikes.
