2021 AFL Draft
The 2021 AFL draft comprised the various periods where the 18 clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL) can trade and recruit players during and following the completion of the 2021 AFL season. The National Draft returned to being a two day event in 2021, after being held on a single night in 2020. After coming 18th in the 2021 AFL season, the North Melbourne Football Club held the number one draft pick in the National draft for the first time, selecting midfielder Jason Horne-Francis. Key Dates 2021 mid-season rookie draft The mid-season draft was held after the conclusion of Round 11 of the 2021 AFL season on 2 June. Marvel Stadium
Docklands Stadium, also currently known by naming rights sponsorship as Marvel Stadium, is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment stadium in the Melbourne Docklands, Docklands area of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Construction started in October 1997 and was completed in 2000 at a cost of Australian dollar, A$460 million. The stadium features a retractable roof and the ground level seating can be converted from oval to rectangular configuration. Box Hill Hawks
Box Hill Hawks Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the Victorian Football League. It has an alliance with the Hawthorn Football Club, which plays in the Australian Football League. Early Australian rules football in Box Hill – 1903 to 1935 Organised Australian rules football within the municipality of Box Hill can be traced back to the year 1903. In that year Mr EFG Hodges, the proprietor of the "Reporter" newspaper, founded the "Reporter District Football Association". Ivan Soldo
Ivan Soldo (born 14 April 1996) is a professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is the cousin of former Richmond ruck Ivan Maric. Soldo set the AFL record for most hit-outs in a debut game during his first match in 2017. In 2019 he became an AFL premiership player with Richmond. Early life Soldo spent his formative years in the Australian capital city of Canberra. Western Australian Football League
The West Australian Football League (WAFL) is an Australian rules football league based in Perth, Western Australia. The league currently consists of ten teams, which play each other in a 20-round season usually lasting from March to September, with the top five teams playing off in a finals series, culminating in a Grand Final. Irving Mosquito (born 24 August 2000) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by the Essendon Football Club with the 38th pick in the 2018 national draft. Early football Mosquito played for the Gippsland Power in the NAB League for two seasons. Mosquito was selected to play for Vic Country in the AFL Under 18 Championships, but was unable to get a game due to injury. Lachlan Keeffe (born 14 April 1990) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Collingwood Football Club from 2009 to 2017. Caleb Marchbank (born 7 December 1996) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited by Greater Western Sydney with their second selection and sixth overall in the 2014 national draft. Oakleigh Chargers
The Oakleigh Chargers is an Australian rules football club playing in the NAB League, the top statewide under-18 competition in Victoria, Australia. They are based at Warrawee Park in Oakleigh, Victoria, representing the southeastern suburban area of Melbourne. Tyson Stengle (born 19 October 1998) is a professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the Geelong Cats in the Australian Football League (AFL). Stengle played junior representative football with Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL and represented South Australia at national championships at under 18 level.
