Lachlan Keeffe
Lachlan Keeffe (born 14 April 1990) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Collingwood Football Club from 2009 to 2017. Early life Keeffe was born and raised in Gympie, Queensland, and spent some time as a boarder at Marist College Ashgrove and grew up playing soccer, playing under 17 as a soccer midfielder he was first scouted by Collingwood. AFL Career In 2008, Keeffe was signed by the Collingwood Football Club as an unregistered player and was later drafted with pick number 69 in the 2009 Rookie Draft. He played for Old Trinity in the VAFA to develop his game during this time. In 2009, Keeffe played 20 games for Collingwood's reserves team in the VFL. Josh Thomas (Australian Footballer)
Josh Thomas (born 1 October 1991) is a retired Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Thomas, a Queensland Under 18 representative in the 2009 AFL National Under 18 Championships, was drafted by Collingwood with the 75th selection in the 2009 AFL Draft. In 2009, Thomas played 11 games for Gold Coast in the TAC Cup. Thomas was offered a contract by Gold Coast, but chose to enter the 2009 AFL draft, stating that he wanted to join an AFL environment as soon as possible, rather than wait for Gold Coast to join the AFL in 2011. Jessy Keeffe
Jessy Keeffe (born 17 July 1996) is a retired Australian rules footballer who played for Brisbane in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). She was playing for Yeronga South Brisbane in the AFL Queensland Women's League (QWAFL) when she was drafted by with the 48th and final pick in the 2017 AFL Women's draft. After not playing a game in her first AFLW season in 2018, she was delisted by Brisbane. However, they re-signed her as a free agent before the 2019 season, and she made her AFLW debut in the Lions' round 4 game against at Whitten Oval on 23 February 2019. 2017 AFL Women's Draft
The 2017 AFL Women's draft consisted of the various periods when the eight clubs in the AFL Women's competition could recruit players prior to the competition's 2018 season. As the previous season's player contracts were all capped at one-year deals, all existing AFLW players must be re-signed prior to the 2018 season.
